OK, I realise now more about the move in the share price here and ITM ( less so Ceres)
It's the sector that has driven it up, driven mainly by these three US companies and see what comments from sites are saying.
Not posting any links here as I'm holding at 31p. Need sales news as everyone already says here.
Maybe RA knew more what he is doing, I hoep not the reason. Mr doom and gloom I know.....
Ballard Power Systems
Fuel Cell Energy
Plus Power
De Nora Alkamem testing, I believe, is also with regards to:
"A highly conductive and stable anionic exchange membrane opens up an array of technologies which De Nora currently have under development."
And:
"With strong growth expected in alkaline water electrolysis in the coming years and the already evidenced expansion of energy storage, we believe AlkaMemTM, whilst initially developed exclusively "by us, for us", offers a true value proposition which we will aggressively seek to exploit through a sales, partnership and licensing model with our customers."
Footsie up. Ceres 2% down but ITM 6% down
I guess Innomech could be involved with scale-up manufacturing when the need arises: https://www.innomech.co.uk/afc-energy
Not sure as I didn't go.
Bond covered the manufacturing situation at the Dec meet junior.
I don't think there is an issue unless we make a huge sales success and then they will just find a manufacturing partner, of which there are many options.
For example, airbus don't make their own wing and landing gear. All outsourced, GKN aerospace build the A380 wings at the airbus factory in Harwarden.
junior3564,
AFC have said many times, including to shareholders at the AGM's, that they will assemble the initial orders (they don't manufacture anything, the electrodes are now manufactured by DeNora), and once things take off the assembly will be outsourced.
We don't need any more information than that right now.
What investors want to see is the validation of the company direction into EV chargers. The only way this will done is by sales and profit.
They went ClorAlk before and found themselves at a dead end. AGM soon and Bond will need to have more than cake for the peasants at the gate.
Some Co's won't take kindly to there names being banded around when they could also be looking at other systems with other Co's, stop talking rubbish DW.
Some posters are looking for signed orders to be produced immediately if not sooner.
A lot of work will need to be done before getting to the stage of committing to signed orders. There will need to be detailed discussions between AFC and the customer regarding the precise requirements, the location, cost and delivery. AFC will very possibly need to do a site visit.
The customer may need to consider making some preparations at the site, they will need to carry out costings and financial projections, and no doubt in many cases the management will need to put a proposal to higher authority for approval before they can sign off the order.
All of these things take time, so patience is required. More patience. Of course some of these steps may have been covered already with some of the potential customers during the past several months.
What a pointless irrelevant post that has naff all to do with the GLOBAL stock market drop.
We KNOW AFC are so very close to big sales, so stop posting rubbish like this.
CEO BLOG yesterday:
Last Thursday saw over 250 people, including Scottish Minister for Trade, Investment and Innovation, Mr Ivan McKee, witness the operation of our charger at the Michelin-Scotland Innovation Parc (“MSIP”). Several prospective customers travelled to Scotland especially to meet AFC Energy and witness the operation of our EV charger in real time.
Since the launch of our H-PowerTM EV charger three months ago, we’ve seen over 500 people visit the operation of the charger, in addition to the significant number of commercial enquiries received through phone calls and email from the UK and overseas.
What's your point Newboy??
And the SP knows it....
