Morning DW. Just to have some closure on yesterday’s discussion comparing Johnson to Trump, the following BBC article (it’s not possible to share with you but here’s the highlight...an announcement to be made by Johnson today...” The UK is to give £500m to a new global vaccine-sharing scheme designed to ensure treatments for Covid-19 are distributed fairly. “
The article discusses how Johnson tells world leaders (i.e. Trump) to overcome differences and help prevent future and similar outbreaks).
I don’t necessarily like Johnson and some of the ways he “leads “ this country but I don’t think a comparison with gun touting Trump is justified. Thanks and have a good weekend
Had a quick watch e1 starting 2022 will follow same format and sounds like they may run avents alongside with formula e .Something that i did pick up is that they hope to leave technologies behind in the places they visit like chargers
Full e 1 series 40 minutes long video presentation https://youtu.be/kIbyyoK5SqU
And money for accommodation ...
£300k a year, plus share options I suspect + company car.
Not bad for a clown is it.
Chippyjo - Yesterday I included you in the list of moaners at the beginning of this thread. This is an unqualified apology. I relied on memory when I listed names, and did not check. I incorrectly named you, when I was thinking of someone else (it is obvious who has been omitted). This was sloppy, and I apologise to you, and understand your annoyance at being listed amongst the others. Mayt...
That's the spirit. Plenty going on behind the scenes.
Have a good weekend.
OK Cheekboy2, I'll try to adopt a more positive outlook. Can't do any harm!
Didn't hear the interview with AB today, but the lack of response here seems to indicate it was not the best.
Then back the company and YOUR money. For god sake man.
I take your point chippyjo about the difficulty of the task facing AFC and the complexity involved accessing the right kind of hydrogen at a commercially viable price. Maybe our involvement with HiiROC will pay dividends in this area. I guess I get frustrated at the number of false dawns so far but hopefully they'll get a good commercial deal nailed down soon and we'll be up and running. I'd love nothing more!
Many companies have been trying to deliver fuel cells for mass market for many years Garonne and how prevalent are they?
Actually I believe its a timing thing, the excess of wind and solar will drive the change as green H2 or even ammonia will be produced off the back of it. Cells need fuel and the fuel side is gaining traction first. I hope AFC have their own electroliser for extreme e utilising alkamem
Why don't you sell afc and buy into itm then?
Surely you must still believe that afc will come good if you don't sell up and move on.
Maybe not chippyjo but a guy earning 300k and seemingly failing to fulfill his promise to deliver a commercially successful company must expect to be derided when he repeatedly fails to do so. Maybe you're easily pleased and are happy with AFC's performance over many years. I'd obviously love this company to succeed for personal financial gain but also for the environmental benefits this would bring. Unfortunately though unlike ITM we seem to be going backwards after receiving our big cash injection.
Garonne, you really think a CEO earning 300k a year will take any notice of a public annon BB poster?
Get real, they have a plan which may or may not benefit holders depending on the price you bought in at. Thats the AIM market, I've taken my chances like many others. Even set up a shareholder group to apply some pressure when we were at 4p. I want this to come good and benefit shareholders but constant daily whining won't make the price go up.
BB not sure they really make a significant difference moaning - other than of course boring us all so much. Some of the personal quotes against Adam Bond are pathetic and a disgrace.
Or it might convey a consistent message to AB and AFC to pull their collective fingers out and stop treating PIs with such disrespect by continually refusing to communicate properly and openly.
I may come across as negative Mayt but I'm afraid that's driven by the abysmal performance of AFC's share price, which has been caused by AB's history of over promising and under delivering. I feel quite entitled to point this out on a regular basis as this approach has cost me a lot of money. I have foolishly taken AB's word on how EV charger sales are a real and imminent prospect for AFC and have invested accordingly. 7 months on from the fanfare of the Dunsfold to Dundee Dash I'm not so easily convinced this is the case but am a lot poorer. I think AB and AFC deserve to be criticised until they start to deliver on at least some of their hype and actually become commercial rather than just saying they are and expecting it to be believed.
To compare Johnson and Trump is absolutely ridiculous ! No matter what your politics are, there is no way this country would stand for someone as farcical as Trump. I find your post deeply insulting DW. How can you compare Trump’s views and actions on Covid and Climate change with the Johnson or the way Government has acted? You’re a dangerous poster DW with subtle and sometimes very unsubtle view that try to influence the board.
THIS IS THE AFC ENERGY board!
DW, it's the best of a bad bunch. There's a worldwide pandemic going on and the UK government are under pressure from all sides and, with brexit to handle as well.
Trump will be gone in a couple of months anyway. Kicking and screaming like a spoiled child, no doubt.
I think there has been a coup in this country and we are heading for dictatorship
Mucksy, any evidence for the collapse of the EU? Or just a guess?
It's such a complex subject.
Cable suggests a deal of some sort BB.
Apologies for typos and auto “correct “ on my phone .... :)
DW. We have no idea what I’d going on behind the scenes. We can speculate. We can ask any sort of questions that puts a negative spin on the company. I still maintain that the £32m raised has a purpose. It’s a huge amount of money for AFC and maybe, just maybe they are going in a direction that THEY want to go in snd not necessarily the same direction you’d take them ?
Maybe it’s no longer the time to be a research facility but crack on and commercialise right now and we’re beginning to see contracts snd partners come through.
The UK has yet to announce its strategy regarding hydrogen and suspect C19 is holding things up right across government and local government. We still have commitment towards climate change and sustainability however and things need to move forward rapidly. I note Airbus in the UK is looking jointly at H2 planes to meet emission standards in just 10-15 years.
Yes, I absolutely wish AFC would be more open and communicative and yea, I do wonder if we need someone with more “presence” and marketing experience to really get people to buy in to the amazing tech that’s been developed.
