That Extreme E racing was brilliant! Carnage, but brilliant!
And I now realise where I remember ENEL from, ENEL X sponsor Extreme E!!, and one of their guys was there today to present a trophy. I wonder if AB met him, surely must have with the small number of people at the event.
"Enel X is the global business line of Enel Group, combining its own progressive, future-oriented approach with the financial solidity and worldwide reach of the Group. We are leading the energy transformation all over the world, turning complex technologies into simple, approachable, effective solutions that enable everyone to transform energy into new opportunities for sustainable growth and progress."

Maybe AB is there for the recording of a PR video to show the EV Charger in use?
He must be there for some reason?
Maybe that or another deal signed, perhaps with an Italian company. Maybe ENI or ENEL?

Hopefully a nice report from EY off the back of their visit. Check these out.

It should have been a lot easier for interested parties to visit Sardinia as a location compared to previous races so, adding in COP26 timing, fewer travel restrictions and Extreme E having a track record now, it is quite possible that the fuel cell system has been inspected by lots of potential customers/partners/intermediaries...
Some invited VIPs from the list of 50+ discrete, qualified deployment enquiries.....that AB cannot disclose ?
HS,
Nice one! Now we know why AB is in Sardinia!

Best toy in the shop :-)
As well as COP26, we have the budget this week.
Potential green measures to be announced, and the delayed Treasury paper on zero emissions by 2050 still to be released - perhaps this will be done at one or other with a fanfare?
Not seen the last couple of Extreme E events, so will watch this later today. Like others, surprised there does not seem to have been more 'behind the scenes' type pieces, a perfect opportunity to showcase the 'green credentials of the event and how the charging works as well as other aspects on how they are 'different'.
I thought there would be a separate one at each event, but they seem to focus on the project each one is highlighting in the various locations. A bit of a shame really.
Also like many, hoping this weekend of racing will lead to some good news being released this week.

It would definitely be a good time to release a proper video about the charging/power system, especially if AB is there. COP26 etc
FCI yes this is great but someone had to ask “ What methods are being used to charge these vehicles with no infrastructure around? Nowhere in these broadcasts do they show us the viewers how this is accomplished?”
Seems people are interested in understanding the behind the scenes and maybe ExE should be pushing the tech that’s on site to power the cars and infrastructure there. It’s good to highlight the climate issues but let’s push the solutions that are here right now.
I wonder if this will be followed up with an in depth feature on AFC soon? It's the message Extreme E responded to.

Yeah, and we had several close up shots of the AFC FC system with the AFC name and logo very visible in the YouTube video, as if they were highlighting it.
Good to see Extreme E plugging AFC still. Let's hope AB signs some deals in Sardinia.

Hey! We have a hydrogen powered generator with us on site from @AFCEnergy
Oh, ignore that, didn't see that Klunk had already spotted that. :)
Thats an interesting video Haggis, and this time we see (at 23:11) two groups of solar panels (24 individual panels I count).
The Extreme E video from yesterday, watch from 19:31 , this is their environment section of the video.

Bumble I'm a big believer in the way nature always changes not a lot can stop it what ever we try if we continue to polute etc things will evolve some things will die off others will flourish and new species will evolve just think if nothing changed we would still have dinosaurs roaming around and other more modern animals would not be here .Just to be clear I'm not advocating poisoning the planet .And no doubt we will clean up the western world and forget about the poorer countries who will be mining for the lithium etc .Not sure about the elite really been bothered about the environment the sceptic in me says its all about the money
“You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time”.”
? John Lydgate
And it will be that way for the foreseeable future.
Remember it's not just our generation or our generation before which changed the natural landscsoes, it's being going on for thousands of years.Just look at the Romans. For instance they cleared large forests in Britain which killed off the wild life at that time .
I don’t disagree with the idea of an an independent assessment BB2. I thought of you whilst watching the latest Bond movie on Wednesday. The number of natural sites messed around as a result of filming must be incredible yet these are unrealised. At least ExE are highlighting these issues albeit to a limited audience?
As a whisky lover, the honey in this form brought a new world of taste and smell sensations. You smell it and feel as if you have visited every flower with the bee that has helped make it. And then the taste opens up a new workd of flavours. Hopefully my AFC investment allows me to make/indulge on more of this luxury in the future!
I bought some Kanan Naturale Stingless Bee Honey to try, it sounds interesting. It's not something you can reproduce at home though, due to the local flowers involved.
