Jhonboy - First of all, I didn't say the L system is dead - the Liberum report said it in different words. The report also said that we will be increasing our workforce.
What is clear is that between these statements that the L system has degradation issues / the solid fuel cell is the way forwards and that we will be doubling our workforce (all three points from the liberum report), there is a massive gap in our understanding in what is going on. Perhaps AFC know more than we do, but if they do, then arguably they should be more straightforward with us. Perhaps we will see an RNS in the next couple of weeks that explains what the 150-250 people will be up to. I certainly hope it is on some decent commercial orders.
Bondy...pure speculation and conjecture or in other words Bowlarks on your part...you say the l series is dead and hence no sales for 12 mnths, then say the workforce is doubling to 150 by june!!! what company in the world would double their workforce to 150 with no saleable product.i suggest the chairman of the company knows slightly more than you ;-0
anyways out to friends for dinner now so have a nice weekend all and glalth.
Bondy, thanks for clarifying the identified issues with the L system as contained in the research note. I've suspected for a while that it's not been received particularly well by potential customers and consequently that our commercial future is dependent on a successful S cell iteration so hopefully any prototype versions deployed this year will achieve their design parameters, including longevity, thus allowing full commercial rollout. It's crunch time for AFC as you say and if they finally get it right we could be at the races. Let's hope for some updates soon to clarify where we're at with HFC deployment and S cell readiness. The recent SP action has been most trying so some good news is badly needed and long overdue. Maybe Adam will surprise us this week. He's still got time to shine I guess. Thanks again Bondy and fingers crossed for some better fortune here. Patience will hopefully be rewarded.
Garonne, the note said that they had observed that the L system had degradation issues that the solid wouldn’t have, and that it all hinges on the new membrane. I would say the size (footprint) of the systems, power density of S vs L and obviously a commercial team and ceo that wasn’t able to shift the L systems. Now we’re in this position where we have to basically wait a whole year before any scaled orders are even possible. I think afc will get a few prototype systems out this year, and all being well with the membrane, and subsequent longevity testing etc we might finally have a product. We are entering a high risk time, since our workforce is going to double, which means our cash burn will too, and there is this uncertainty around whether we are capable of taking scaled orders yet or not l. We really need Adam bond or someone at the company to speak up and clarify things a little.
I agree it’s not a good time to sell right now. It’ll get to 80p again - probably! But good news has been “not far away” for a few years now. What we really need is Autonomy’s creative accountants to flog it to some massive industrial giant for 11 billion LOL :)
Didums. Sad man.
You seem obsessed with me Jimmy. At least I don't post offensive comments about other posters just because I don't agree with them. You sir are a bully and clearly a very worried AFC Investor judging by your complete over reaction to any posts that are not on message.
Clearly this is directed at Garmoan and not Bondy….
Weekend worrying by the ‘alleged’ shareholding troll…..
Get a life you waste too much time here. Is it double pay at the weekend? I can only assume you have no dependents given the sheer amount of time you waste and spout excrement on here. Let AFC get on with it, we’re down no more than any other player in this sector as you well know. Stop pretending your worries and woes.
Back to the tennis, now that’s exciting rather than reading your ongoing drivel. I thought you were going to take a breather from here? How many times have we heard you say that before though and like a bad smell you’re back within 24 hours…..
Pathetic.
Jim
Alt - what do you mean by ‘job done’? What are you suggesting? Are you saying I’ve changed my tune? Please clarify. Again I feel like you’re trying to paint me as someone / something other than a ‘normal’ investor and I don’t appreciate it. In fact these types of slimey comments wind me up. Grow up ffs.
If you want to go back to discussing the subject of expectation / announcements vs actual delivery, we can definitely discuss that and I can resurface my list. I would love to discuss what and when the next likely positive news is going to be and also discuss what the liberum note meant about it all hanging on the new membrane and where that leaves us. Tell me what’s unreasonable about that?
Bondy, I saw your comments around the liberum research note in your post last night, particularly the observation about the alleged issues with the L cell. Could this be the reason for no sales and why there's been no updates on electrode longevity and other performance parameters? If so it's very worrying and sounds like something they should've informed the market of? It also leaves me wondering what else they're hiding and if they'll get the HFC to work to the require standard for deployment in Q1. As you said our commercial future seems to depend on it and AlkaMem being perfected so they have to be good to go soon. Any further thoughts or clarification on this would be appreciated as I trust your obvious knowledge and candour around AFC. The problem with researching this company is that there's so little relevant information available on the technical side of things, which is a big disadvantage when investing in a tech company!
Alt-muddle, good morning, excluding yourself i see the rat vermin infestation is out in force even early at the weekend..... good news will come and like a good rentokil expert does his job it will get rid off of all this pest...
Actually, that’s not for certain. +30p could make it approx £500m market cap, which with another order of £4-5m being announced could be reached. Your initial post saying it could drop 30p has drained you if your credibility im afraid. This could much sooner gain 30p than lose even 20.
In your opinion they were absurd alt, not in mine. I would discuss any one at length with you but I’m not going to bring the list up again. Looking forwards.
Well it ain’t going up 30p very soon that’s for certain
‘On what you have written this week’.
Alt the quicker you realise what I posted are my genuine concerns, and I am a normal investor like you, the sooner we will start to have a sensible conversation. I have got riled up and attacked you and haggis, hands up, because you in particular refuse to question or allow questioning of the ceo. You try to pass everyone off as having some kind of motive like being a paid deramper. I am an investor with a chunky investment in AFC. I have been waiting a long, long time believe me. I don’t short or do any fancy tricks with trading, I’ve accepted I will never be good at that. I am afraid that even I am ‘in love’ with this stock. My frustrations expressed here, come from an honest place. There is no agenda. My ‘position’ is to make money from this company based on an increase in the share price of this company. My bet for a long time has been that Afc will come good just like many of you on here. Energy companies sell for billions. That’s what I’m holding out for, so I can make millions, and Ive thought / think that is could be a real possibility with Afc . Over the course of about 10 years I have amassed a lot of shares. Afc has been good to me and profits from it has got me through a few big life’s milestones, so no one can tell me I don’t know about Afc. I’ve been there in and out of those offices for years. Perhaps dissapointments from yesteryear and the feeling of ‘oh no not again’ are bringing out a less agreeable side to me on this board, at least for yourself, just be open to the fact I’m being honest. It is perfectly legitimate to try and debate the ‘what if’s’ with people who are willing to, and I won’t apologise for that. I appreciate a number of posters on this board that are willing to have that discussion. Thank you, I mean you no harm.
Fuel cell, Bloom, Plug, Ballard all up so maybe we'll get a tick up Monday. Fingers crossed.
Alt - why would you object to me telling someone that if they can’t afford to lose any more consider selling??? I’ll tell you why, because you’re part of the pump team that people like Trevor have to be careful about. You’re not as blatant at haggis but you’re there monitoring the board like a school prefect. You’re as guilty as haggis.
Totally sympathise with the the sentiment on this BB, Renewables have been battered over the last few months and you really start to question your own judgement when you jumped on the ride expecting lift off only to find yourself deep underwater. I was fortunate enough to buy into AFC at start of the journey and sold out early last year with a nice profit, but believe you me that was just lucky timing. The fundamentals of this company are entirely sound and they have raised large amounts of money at a much higher premium to todays price. Keep the faith, it may go lower but the products this company are producing with drive them forward into the future. If it's any consolation i pumped my profits from here into Abingdon Health and im now 82% down from my original buy in ..when sentiment is down the market knows exactly how to punish loyal shareholders hard...battle of will power and patience...AFC will definitely come good...again...presently on the sidelines but certainly looking in.
Serious question. Is nobody concerned about a general market crash? Obviously starting in the over inflated US markets?
long and strong me, underwater but I don't care as I'm long. Not worried about todays price. 5-7 years and I can retire.
What i don't get is, if the wizard of oz has once again over promised and under achieved like it seams, why o why not make a fuss about Extreme E starting in a few weeks time... What is the logic in pretending is not happening?
Actually it can't drop another 30p, as it will be below the value of the cash in the bank you fool.
I don't care what anyone says but Trevinvests case is exactly why I will shoot for people like Haggis every single time. Completely irresponsible behaviour and it is allowed to continue by the pump team. Always do your own research and don't be influenced by anyone on bulletin boards. I hope you recover some of your losses.
I can't advise you on which way this is going to turn, it is certainly a high risk, high reward stock. My only advice is if you really need the money you've got left in there and can't afford to lose any more, consider taking it out. Good luck.
Can drop another 30p tho can’t it? I mean it’s a bag of ****e
