Sounds like our office before they all got laid off!
(Just hope none of them read this BB!!)
No BumbleB2.....just that some of your posts get me interested enough to do some digging.
Are our farmers causing more of a pollution problem ?....https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/emissions-of-air-pollutants/emissions-of-air-pollutants-in-the-uk-ammonia-nh3
Thanks all
Yes been looking briefly into detailed Modeling stage 1 and 2 I’ll research a bit more
https://naturalresources.wales/guidance-and-advice/business-sectors/farming/ammonia-assessments/detailed-modelling-of-ammonia-emissions-stage-1-gn-036/?lang=en
Yes I could see it was a double edged sword for you with Extreme E and AFC as the benefits for AFC getting that phone call (AB getting on that plane at the time I recall him saying ) has no doubt excelled them into markets they would have found very difficult to reach .
At the end of it all as you say your an ecologist so let’s hope they can improve on the format and venues if AFC are involved or not
Cars spew more ammonia than suspected, pandemic data suggests...

Thanks Klunk I’ll have a read up
This article may help some to understand the points BumbleB2 was highlighting earlier regarding Ammonia pollution... https://www.rand.org/randeurope/research/projects/impact-of-ammonia-emissions-on-biodiversity.html
That’s something I was not aware off I was already thinking any deal could be difficult so that adds another layer to matters .
So that would be the majority of their bases ?
considering the amount of armoury at their disposal I would hope they would have secure enough facilities to be able to test any products selected safely without any concerns to the environment over the periods required or alternative locations unknown to us .
I don’t follow PHE but there are so many factors to consider
When trying to secure contracts and this can of course lead to delays if someone somewhere overlooks a import detail.
What ever the case with AFC and a possible link the extreme E event adds another layer of intrigue.
As we draw nearer the end to 2021 can I ask do you feel Extreme. E has been good for AFC and regarding the possibility of AFC another Season would you like to see us still participate in next year ?
Only as I know your views regarding the environmental factors
Halfshell: EV mobility, Construction, Data Centres, Rail and Maritime.......it goes on and on.......Military also a possibility in my opinion......Possibilities are endless.......what about AFC energy supplying Power bank storage systems as many are being developed............so many opportunities for AFC energy and thats why they are building a very big team of experts.....DYOR. Yes, do your own research. I have.
BB2 thanks for Sharing that link in this thread regarding the military yesterday
There are definitely (my own opinion) promising signs of us picking up another one of our projected Markets around the time of the Extreme E event or it would be a real shame not to given that we are trying to enter with the military and preferable UK military
The future solider guide attached is a good link
project Mercury
The defence battle lab
And of course the innovation centre also in Dorset (last extreme e event location) to be completed in 2022 and will facilitate prototype development and testing
Looking forward to the last race with intrigue
Either way really good to see the Uk army ideas and how their role is developing is this ever changing world

Look at the share price?…lol
Why what’s that going to achieve?
Oh you mean because the price has come down?
Like the rest of the market the past two weeks crypto included
Zzzzzz
end of year results are not the same thing as end of year report. The former is a statutory requirement
'Final results' is not the same as 'End of year operational update' though. The last set of final results came out on 1st March this year, 4 months after the year end update.
Mucksy thats correct
"As with the last release from the company, we leave our projections unchanged ahead of the publication of the group’s final results for the year to 31 October 2021, which we anticipated will be delivered in early 2022."
I thought someone mentioned eoy report was going to be January (zeus report)
The big spike up last December actually started in November and by this stage the sp had already doubled over its early Nov price. AFC is late to the party this year.
Aimmillionaire
In this instance EOY = 31 October 2021 - The content is historical, the delay is unacceptable.
The half year report expectations have until the calendar year end = 31 December 2021.
The markets in general frown on uncertainty and dithering AFC has created this in abundance - look at the share price.
Maybe there’s one more RNS before they release end of year report…
Or EOY sales, (as expected).
The L series is perfect for the military.
Extreme E coming soon. A tie up with the M O D would be nice.
Haggis - my point was that the interaction between the electrolyte and coating that may limit longevity may be lessened through a solid set-up. Given a lack of information I’m not sure anyone is able to confirm whether there are no issues with the L in this regard.
Swapping out means costs so lack of longevity of Alkamen over Nafion will be a long term view over TCO. I’m not sure whether a new layer of Alkamem would be feasible, rather it may require a completely new stack of freshly married electrodes and Alkamem.
All guesswork at this stage.
Heath,
"I wonder whether any issues with L will have been resolved by the lack of liquid?
There are no issues with the L in regards to the technology of an advanced liquid based FC. The only perceived downside to the L is it's greater size over the S, which is an issue in some end uses such as marine, or where space is limited. The L is fine in places where space is not an issue.
"Will be interesting to see the longevity for Alkamem too as Nafion has a very long lifespan."
Unless we use a cartridge based system as with the L Series, and then longevity does not have to be anywhere near what it has to be for PEM, as cartridges can be swapped out every 2 years and recycled with a new layer of Alkamem. Either way, I think from the fact that ABB have gone ahead with a £4m purchase tells us that there is nothing wrong with Alkamem longevity, AFC just need to build a big commercial scale FC that works, and that will be a lot easier without the circulating caustic liquid to factor into the design.
Bumble, if you look at your reply to heath this really highlights the problem. Bond doesn’t leave himself in a position to be judged against milestone progress as the milestones are not defined in such a way.
But the financial side of things such as share options is written in a way there is no doubt. That’s why I think he’s bad for AFC.
Maybe he wasn’t the one instrumental in getting ABB on board?
To assess electrode longevity, AFC Energy initiated a long-term continuous operations test in August 2018. We are pleased to report that the first anniversary of the electrode operation has now been achieved. At this time, based on linear regression analysis from the test programme, there have been no significant adverse trends which would indicate that the four-year target life will not be met.
Did we meet this milestone? RNS 27/8/19
