How much better is the chat at the weekends without the paid derampers !
Gulf Energy tweeted this three hours ago too. But nothing new... https://twitter.com/h2techonline/status/1381295994575421447?s=21
The fact that the Altaaqa photos still show their sticker when the slightly different ones used by AFC don't continues to be very intriguing.
https://www.afcenergy.com/altaaqa-and-afc-energy-to-develop-zero-emission-hydrogen-power-generation-solutions-in-saudi-arabia-and-the-middle-east/
I also note that they have kept the first line "Yesterday we proudly waved off our latest unit to begin the first leg of what will be another long journey" which adds further evidence that AFC is just the first step before going a lot further afield (aka Saudi).
Add in the strange Altaaqa sticker photo/article debacle that was removed and the mind starts to wander. By the way, does anyone know when the story was reposted on their website and what has been changed as it still says 1st April, even though it wasn't there for at least a few days after it was removed on 1st April, and it was updated 3 hours ago on their website? All very interesting... https://www.altaaqa.com/post/altaaqa-and-afc-energy
Seems someone from AFC may have had to "have a word".... Well you cant put a cat back into the bag ))
It looks like someone from AFC has been in touch with them, as it now also says "Correction, This unit is heading to AFC energy, It is not heading abroad as incorrectly stated in comments below."
This statement is not inconsistent with it then going overseas from AFC, including to Saudi, and I find it very hard to believe that MSP could have muddled up the final destination. Time will tell but I still feel that AFC should offer some clarity asap to avoid confusion.
Mace then?
I would imagine AFC have had a word after seeing threads
Are they back tracking after seeing this thread?
MSP have just updated their linked in...
MSP Technologies Ltd
Our apologies, the statement above is incorrect, the Unit is heading to a UK client, for trails and testing prior to deployment.
Interesting M3. This article on the same website - An Optimal Sizing of Stand-Alone Hybrid PV-Fuel Cell-Battery to Desalinate Seawater at Saudi NEOM City.

It would make more sense as to why BK Gulf are the manufacturing partner. If AB thought that the uptake of fuelcells would be greater in the middle East then a good place to have a manufacturing partnership would be.........The Middle East.
Assembly, testing and commissioning could easily be set up there also. BK Gulf will manufacture the containerised BoP, perhaps AFC could finish the job at their facility.
It is getting very exciting.
Hi guys did the deal with Ducto go to plan in 2020?
One thing is for sure. The Saudi’s aren’t short of a Bob or two and are pushing ahead with renewable energy quicker than most nations.
Have they forwarded their interest after seeing the system work in the desert ?
BB2,
Agree with you and it’s a change of location.
All good whatever happens.
My guess is Acciona in Saudi. Originally their system was first quarter, but factoring in COVID (and stealing your idea of engineers being close by) and Acciona presence in Saudi; it’s definitely going to them.....or ExE......or Altaaqa. I’ll go with Acciona.
Can someone ask MSP how many units they have supplied for use with an AFC fuel cell? or even how many such orders they have. You never know, they might give something away!
I’ve read up on the neom city project. It looks incredible and afc are well placed for it now.
It looks like the Middle East is going to be a big player on green energy ( how ironic) and with afc having links there can only be good.
We’ve even just had a successful live event in Saudi Arabia ???? it’s like if it was all planned :)
Would it be feasible that the AFC engineers that were operating the XE plant were due to fly to Spain for the Acciona trial, but for reasons of the pandemic and self isolation etc it would of paid to have the trial at an Acciona site in Saudi??
It’s either altaaqa or extreme e.
Sweepstake as to who it’s for? I am going Altaaqa
Wouldn’t be a very long journey to Spain. Wonder if they will keep us guessing or give us an RNS. I would just of thought they would of RNS’d Friday but I suppose with all this talk on pretty much all platforms they need to clarify it
BB2,
I’ve been going through the RNS history and nothing seems to fit.
Well, we can all meet here at 7am. Last one in can be EdSelby!
And p.36 of the recent annual statement also says Spain for Acciona trial
