The government has outlined four areas that have high potential for natural gas discoveries and is calling for investors to conduct further studies. Energy minister Medard Kalemani told the Oil and Gas Congress 2019 yesterday the areas include Ntoria, Western Songosongo, North Mnazi bay and Ruvu.“The areas have the potential of generating at least 5.2 trillion cubic feet (5.2tcf) after exploration and drilling activities,” he said. He said Ruvu alone has potential of at least 2tcf, Ntoria with 1.6tcf, Western Songosongo with1.3tcf, and North Mnazi bay with 0.3tcf. If discovered, the new findings will raise Tanzania’s natural gas discoveries from the current 57.5tcf, making the country’s total natural gas reserves to 62.7tcf. “The investments are not only for exploration and drilling new wells, but also in the available natural gas. We want more investors in the sector to increase the consumption because it is still in very low pace,” he said.
Hope this is signed off soon rather than later and before election.."more investors in the sector" won't be enticed if no progress..
for me the disappointment will be if the Zubairs/ARA pull out of the Farmout and want there money back which they will and maybe AEX going the pan, result is what counts here now and getting that Farmout signed is the number one, can`t believe myself saying this but another extension and maybe one more is a distant possibilities
No Frank, as Q1 had already been mentioned as 'disappointing if not already drilling'. It could however explain why the government is in no rush to sign off as to them whether it was 3 months ago or in a month or 2, it makes no difference.
Matherdj, H1 is the interesting bit as it always been Q1 in conversations, is this a clue to progress being made, yet to be confirmed H`mmm !!!!
So will the next extension be longer this time? Who knows...
I found this line quite interesting when it was released in a SOLO RNS.
'We are pleased to be able to secure an appropriate funding structure that allows the Company maximum flexibility to progress the activity and deliver value for shareholders. Particularly ahead of a major drilling campaign such as that planned for the Chukumbi-1 well in Tanzania in H1 2021'
All well and good saying that but nothing said and nothing signed and no indication of when something will happen.
faith is the conclusion or understanding of those things not seen yet.
Thomas Scott "Knowledge, in different degrees, may be acquired by us in diverse ways. We know some things by intuition, or the testimony of our senses, and other things by demonstration, or undeniable conclusive arguments. Many things, which do not admit of this kind of proof, may be shewn to be probable, in so great a degree, that it would be absurd to doubt of them, and madness not to regulate our conduct according to them. A very small proportion of men’s actions are directed by personal knowledge, demonstration, or even by the higher degrees of probability. A moderate degree of probability is generally sufficient to excite them to activity, and to direct their conduct. Testimony, especially influences by far the greatest part of human actions; and forms the main spring of men’s vigorous self-denying exertions, their daring attempts, and their persevering labours. By this, all the grand concerns of nations are conducted"
A cracking CPR and a licence is evidence enough for the many it seems RoJo, along with the 3 areas of predicted supply growth.
1.0 Domestic gas consumption
2.0 Domestic production for electricity export
3.0 Domestic gas production for export to Uganda and Kenya.
Have a little 5 letter faith baby :)
...or Gazfemme...
Faith is to believe in something for which there is no proof or evidence.
Rojo, I always kid, kid.
Burford and Elliot Waves? Through the looking glass we go.
Have a little faith baby, have a little faith.
John Burford could easily be talking about Aminex’s Elliott wave chart pattern. I expect the BT bulletin board is full of doom too.
