@Bladey, I did originally have the placing shares running out around next Monday based purely upon volume since the SP reached the placing price. My view on wider issues affecting our SP is because the sell of the placing shares have, for my mind been well controlled over a period of time around the 3.1 mark. The global market gets a jolt yesterday and that coincides with an unusual percentage drop in our SP. We then pick back up again this morning as indeed did the LSE. May just be coincidence or perhaps we are both right. The holders of those placing shares will have seen the wider market sentiment and it's not unreasonable to consider that they responded.
I will be adding more at the end of the week if all is good elsewhere.
@NoEasy, personally I don't has anything to do with the 'Evergrande' scandal, which may have affected the wider markets, (to a degree). Instead I believe it's still just bulk placing shares taking advantage of the rise last week and MM's considering the execution of large blocks of those shares...and tbvh, I prefer that they carry out this method as it keeps us in the range above 3p.
We have to remember we're still a distance from spud timelines, (in the grand scheme of all things to do with ADV), so I'm happy for them to wash through these shares which enables us to take it off their hands at a cheaper price whilst we can. We're still relatively unknown in the wider market and those who are in the 'know'...are playing it close to their chests so they can time an entry before it gets carried away and they're forced to buy at a higher sp.
FYI... I bought some more this afternoon also, and will continue to do so when I can skim profits from other shares in my pf, just was a beautiful timed sell of IAG which enabled me to pick a few more up at low price in ADV.
GLA...and "Patience" lol
Bladey thanks for your thoughts. I too think we are in for a choppy few days. We need to see how the Evergrande crisis plays out in China. It created/is creating jitters and is I believe the reason for our drop yesterday. If the global market is happy with the way that's played I wouldn't be surprised to see sentiment reverse across the market and give a sharp boost to stocks. I don't see the Fed, in their meetings over the next two days, causing issues with everything that is going on, but for me it's gonna take a week to see what's in store for the general economy.
Ah SGF! how are you?
No Its not for me per se, but since you were kind enough to highlight it, I keep an eye on it and it so happens today the chart looks ok at this level so i bought a very modest amount purely on the chart and will jump ship just as quick if the SP falls to a level where it demonstrates my decision was wrong.
Thats the thing for me. one day i don't want to buy it, the next i do. It drives many mad but my reasoning is based on squiggilly lines and not the vagaries of the fundamentals of the business. ha ha :0))
No offense anyone and i am not here to kick off on TA, its just a quick reply to an ole mucka

Without trying to be the bearer of bad news, I still see selling on my daily chart for one or two days, (so far), which means we'll either see it trade sideways for now or dip below 3.10 and do an up and down bob for now... Which is all fine for me, as i'm looking towards spud and ADV to relinquish the Earth of net 20,000 BoPD to the company!
I'll say it again....the keyword is "Patience", and nowt else as the plan set by ADV hasn't changed.
@wyn
When i suggested ADV to you, you said you didn’t think it was your type of thing to invest it. So what’s changed (assuming you are invested now)?
Chart suggests the fall is over. just needs to say above 3.02p and it should be fine
