@SGF, very good thanks, just patiently waiting on this one and wondering what the SP is likely to do leading up to spud, then on results, and after..
@Oiler87
The advantage about their treatment is that it can be used on any chest infection - flu, colds, bronchitis, etc.
And the hand sanitiser is not alcohol based, so no adverse skin reactions.
Plus numerous other applications in the pipeline for the HOCL compound.
But, i agree with you about Covid - complete over-reaction and scare stories IMO. Plus, who’d want to take an experimental vaccine which only has emergency approval? Not me lol
Hi Dai. Hope all good with you.
Yep, I’m in SpectrumX - big investment lol. Very optimistic about them and the roadmap over the next 12/24/36 months looks very exciting.
Looking forward to a god few months with both ADV and SpecX.
Seen SpectrumX was mentioned in this thread, webinar has been posted on Youtube

Regarding other shares, I recommend to DYOR on Lexington Gold, "LEX". Small cap, multiple assets, never dissapointing RNS, proven reserves to be announced soon and 3 more assets to be assesed. All gold assay results have been very positive so far. LEX is my secong biggest holding.
Hello SGF
Its physical crude trade so ADV will need to produce it, and the traders having exclusive rights on buy /sell / marketing of the crude.
In Context... I think it means we have shedloads of oil you sell it for us please sign this letter and hopefully we make everyone shedloads of money :-)
"Buffalo also attracted Advance’s interest due to it being a proven asset. The field produces particularly sought-after oil, which Peterkin compares to condensate because of its very light and sweet qualities. And as a result, the crude commands a premium over most other grades. This high quality helped Advance secure funding, and the firm is negotiating with a major oil company to trade the crude, with a provisional letter of interest (plus caveats) already in place."
Might mean a hedging agreement or something like an 'offtake agreement' perhaps (not sure any such thing exists for oil)?
Hi DBD.
What do you think the ‘trade the crude’ means? Does this mean that they will sell the production rights to someone and get paid (albeit at a discounted value) for their share in B10?
I do wonder if ADV won’t actually do the production in B10 themselves, but take a lower profit up-front and use this for new projects. Thoughts?
Hello SGF
Quoting:
"This high quality... helped Advance secure funding, and the firm is negotiating with a major oil company to trade the crude, with a provisional letter of interest (plus caveats) already in place."
Likely its an LOI from BP Trading or Shell Trading. They work just like any other traders, Mercuria, Trafigura, Vitol etc and there is no link between the Upstream business to Trading whether its Shell Trading or BP Trading (my bet its BP Trading). So please don't read too much into it with regards to the Upstream business potential.
What it does however, from a business standpoint, gives ADV access to a debt syndicate via the traders for senior debt, junior debt / pre sale funding so ADV can raise equity with certainty on the market when the time comes. The badge helps too. Smart move, as city banks doing E&P funding is getting very thin nowadays. Very positive development in my book.
GLA and please DYOR.
As DBD stated, I am heavily invested in ADV. Also, lots of HE1 (yeah, I know, not a great call, but still hopeful on them for the discovery eventually) and SpectrumX. Agree with the sentiment on SpectrumX, as IMO, the hand-gel will support the float mcap and the nebuliser will be the real game-changer once (if) it gets approval. The test results so far have been incredible and it's hopefully it will be tested during the 'chest infection' season this winter on more than just covid.
Back to ADV, with the movement away from oil/gas by the majors due to political pressure, I wonder if this is behind the additional agreements being pursued by ADV. The stupid thing is, we will be needing fossil fuels for decades to come no matter what the likes of Greta and XR say. I wonder if they have something larger lined up on the expectation of the discover in B10 and the increased mcap will be used to push that through.
By the way might add a few more ADV later next week if we are still low 3s
DBD I now only invest into sub 100mio Mcap shares as for me the upside is far greater. Doubt you can get any Oxford nano with the likes of JP Morgan as leads and in any case the Mcap will be 3bio+ at ipo. I’ll stick with TGR, ADV, Spectrum x and Technology Minerals which fall within my criteria. Seen that IP Group have 14% of Oxford so you could play also that solution but I’m not sure if they are already discounting that in their current price. Enough from me as on hols till mid next week.
Chaps
Spoke to RBC, they advised its for institutional investors only. However, if you are with a wealth management company you can ask them to contact one of the bookrunners and try to put an order in (£1mm) although no guarantees you will get any. Worth trying.
Hmm, sounds like IPO day investment then for me. :(
What I like about this bb is that there are many here with experience of ipo and other placements - it seems the way to goo for great returns but obviously not without risks either. I’m also in others like MAST .
In fact I have 27,500 shares at 40p in a company Called Medicaleaf and it’s not even listed yet and ipo planned 2023 - should be a nice multi bagger.
But they are not looking for any more investors anymore as the big guns wanna hold for themselves now- I also qualify for this edf malarkey too
My point is it’s always good to look at others
Shareinvestment
I invested in both 1 and 2 pre IPO, but no luck with 3. If either of you or Curator figure out a way, please let me know. I will try and contact their broker today and see what's what
Thanks Shareinvestment
Same here, i came in pre IPO for SX and just about managed to come in on Technology Minerals before the close (hours left literally!). but I am looking to add at listing day too on both (dry powder cycles limited my pre IPO investments so bulk of investment likely will be on IPO day).
on 3, I am still hitting a dead end after over a year of trying, including my attempts to get a hold of Gordon Sanghera himself through a common family friend - so unless this changes, I will be looking at investing at IPO day.
DBD no bother at all as good ideas are always welcome. ADV is my second largest position after TGR. I’m invested in both Spectrum x and Technology Minerals; in short how did you invest in 3, which I’ll look at separately.
Sorry to hijack this but i wanted to share with anyone who is thinking of having a bit of diversification from " drill bits shares". I own large swathes of shares of ADV (less than SGF though), KIST (from listing) and the unfortunate HE1 .
Using the same logic as ShareInvestment: buy in early then hold, three upcoming IPO which i find interesting are:
1. SpectrumX (there is a webinar on LSE next week). Listing planned in Nov. Pre IPO raise now. Their nebuliser tech on HOCL is a game changer and their trial results are 100% successful against all covid variants and viruses tested. See also interview with Chelsea and Westminster hospital on SX.
2. Technology Minerals - first mover on LSE, circular economy. Listing end of Sept?
3. The mighty Oxford Nanopore listing in Oct. My favourite.
Sorry again, and if this is too much bother, please either skip it or report it to take it down. Its not financial advice, just sharing the outcome of my own research and my own plans. Apologies again for using the ADV board for this.
