Personally I will not be selling even though I’m expecting more turbulence at least this week - hopefully settle next week. Subject of course to global outbreaks of fairies and Noddy holders and stuff
What I will do is very very actively and desperately seek more funds for potential top ups. Thing is, money does not grow on things and I might consider switching £10 or £20 K from another long term investment ( with a view to going back into that in a few weeks)
Good luck all
perfect explanation Jez.
SGF that is 100% correct. My charts will be set up completely different to say wyndrums.
As long as you are consistant in your trading and you get the results thats all that matters.
And therein lies the problem with charting. It’s purely down to what data you look at as to what you will see. Different people will draw different lines and interpret things differently.
But, what do I know? Lol
fwiw.. I have support at 3.75p
Dispels some pre-conceived ideas I had about support/resistance Wyn, thanks.
actually, NoE, I don't.
I don't bother trying to second guess the market.
If we close below 3.95 it does not mean we will fall to 3.6p for instance, it just means that we have fallen through a support which will turn into a resistance, which we could go straight through it the very next day and be back above 3.95p
What will influence me, is the action day by day, so what I think today might not be what i think tomorrow.
My take is right now, that if I want to top up I will wait and see if 3.6p does look to be on the cards and be ready for it. (But the caveat is, it will depend on the action as to how it got there).
Someone has prob already said this today, but surely JSE have told ADV they get the rig next week. 2 weeks in RSN gives them breathing space, just in case. Obvs the word 'within' also implies next week.
Thanks for the reply Wyn. Call it a wild guess but it seems you are of the view we will hit off the next support. Be interesting to see where it does go. Not many trading days to get out and back in if we hit our now expected timeline so while not averse to trading I'm going to wait this one out.
'.......late October, early November, mid November, late November..'
Plus now mid December.
Fairly descriptive timeline. Conveys ages.............encapsulates six weeks.
100% agree Jez, end goal ain't changed... hence my position hasn't changed!
I'm safe either-way, as i'll top up on any weakness if I can!
Hurrah! We’ve got our first derampers in the house! Thank goodness. Was getting a bit worried. I can sit back and relax now as they try to wrest shares from the weak. A little subtle hint of an issue here; a rant about bugger all there. Great fun! ‘Delay’ = out of CVN & ADV’s hands. By the way, given B 10 is targeting the apex of the attic, piercing that ain’t going to take four weeks (if it’s there, of course) so I’d expect some news a couple of weeks after spud, max ie v early Jan. The experts on the board are no doubt better placed to comment. Anyway, welcome derampers, though I suspect some of you have been sitting waiting in camouflage on the board before now revealing your true colours. ; )

Bladey i was in a Russina Mining company a few years back and all was going along slowly but nicely and then they went to War with Ukraine.. jeez.. :-) Got out a few years later with a nice 6 figure sum tho..
A few week delay is nothing in the grand scheme of things as long as we get the results we want at the end of the day. Im still holding
Yeh also don't agree with that call...but each to his own. Like I said, the plan far as ADV is concerned is on track and any delays have no reflection on the company or the BoD in matters outside of their direct control.
Also like I said... the time of "Two Weeks", may have been liberally applied to give some room... Rig could possibly be free'd later this week as they're just finishing up with Jadestone....AND if that news drops, you'll be locked out...so for me the risk isn't worth it... I'll hold taa!
I think with so many shares in sticky hands, selling now and expecting to drop enough to make it worthwhile, bearing in mind the spread anyway, is a risky decision.
I’m irritated by the delay with Jadestone, but that’s nothing to do with ADV. Happy to hold and see the returns during Dec and Jan.
Good luck with that strategy Oiler87. I'm here to see this with a mcap of £200-300mio to start and therefore make exponential returns and leave others to make an extra 10% here or there.
NoE, its abit no nothing actually... WADV is in a trading range of 3.95p to 4.4p.
Clearly we are quite close to the bottom of that range and should we close below 3.95p then the next support is around 3.6/3.62
The "expected" 2 weeks to rig movement will help support the SP I imagine but this delay actually is now quite along one and it might make heavy/ overweight investors nervous and potentially de-risk to an extent, so I think there will be downward pressure.
What is a concern is that there is no reason given for the delay.
(I have my own suspicions but its not worth voicing them)
Given the market headwind thrown up by emerging virus strain and the new spud timeline we seem to have strength at this SP. Would be interested to see how this is being interpreted by our chartists. Welcome your thoughts guys.
