Given LB’s previous experience with CHAR in Namibia I am hopefully that he is going to magic up an opportunity that will transform this train wreck. Just take a look at how CHAR went from 1.8p to where they are now, based on a gas field …….appearing out of nowhere!
Like SI, I was in ADV from the start with 7m shares at an average of 2.2p. Luckily I smelt something fishy, so sold out 5.5m just before the bad news dropped. Luckily I bought back into CHAR at 8p, so have recouped my losses here.
Have now bought some more ADV at the bottom, so sitting with 3m now. I’m actually quite hopeful that big money shenanigans are working with LB and they will be cooking something up. This company is now a shell with potential to multibag very quickly on good news.
GLA!
ShareInv, agree that patience is needed here, however the committed to progress the pipeline opportunities was communicated back in January, appreciate that these things do take time... Since the Jan RNS, the world has changed especially in ADV sector, Mr West has departed with no adverse effects reported, I just believe that it would be a positive move by the board to give us all and update on pipeline progressions and if any new opportunities have come to light and been added to the pipeline.
I am in for the long haul on this one and wish the board every success in bringing opportunites over the line.
Yakuzablue, I think they are looking at several deals as stated in the past and one has to wait patiently until they close one deemed accretive, there is not a lot more they can add in my opinion. In one of the latest the last RNS they mentioned: 'The Board are committed to delivering assets from the business development pipeline and excited by the opportunity it offers, and we look forward to updating the market as these progress'
They always have their own interests at heart!!
All, I too am still holding hoping for some good news soon... I would like to hear some sort of update from the board as to what they have been up to and do they expect to close a deal in the not too distant future at the very least before the monies run out. I have emailed Investor Relations several times over that past few months, but as of yet not had a reply or even an acknowledgement that my emails have been recieved. If any fellow shareholders could try contacting Investor Relations to see if you can get a response that would put my mind at ease that as I am beginning to think that the board may have their own future interest at heart.......
Grezzz,
Exactly my sentiment. I made the decision to buy, nobody else.
And am like you, I will monitor from to time
GLA
Seagull fan I still hold all my shares which I had into Buffalo results and very rarely post on here as pointless until news drop. I remain of the idea that the remaining board is very smart and will deliver another deal, hence holding all. It’s purely a waiting game now. Enough from me, I’ll post again when a deal lands, hopefully at some point this year.
Company is
worthless
@Grezzz
I assume it’s because they have a sad pathetic life really. Maybe they think it makes them look clever, but if they were so clever they wouldn’t have abused the people who de-risked as being idiots.
Like you I took a shafting here, but that was my decision. I’ve held my shares but have written them off. Any deal will be a bonus.
Plenty of us took a painful hit on this investment (I'm still sitting on a rubber ring) but I don't get this constant *****ing and moaning by 'certain' participants. It's tough, but get over it, take it and move on, but please quit these very childish outbursts - you're making a fool of yourself. Those of us who choose to maintain our holding check in here to monitor any developments and not read the petulant rants of a sore loser. Grow up FFS.
@Matrix Wow, I never doubted your 120k loss in ADV (why would anyone lie about that anyway) but to have put so much in one stock (and such a speculative one at that!) with that account size!? Just wow.
DaProphet, because holding is whats left... it's nothing. Like matrix, I'm down massively but nowhere near his loss. Wait 'n see how things turn around, if they do.
Can't believe I'm stooping down to post proof but here you go:

That's an excerpt from the activity statement on my Advance shares.

That's my current PnL on my ADV holding, as you can see I've sold almost 2/3s by now, down 95% on the rest

This is my portfolios YTD performance, started making some money back but am still 50k short of breaking even.
Now that we've put your suspicions to bed, I'm still holding because selling this batch for 1/20th of what I bought it for makes me physically ill. £2k isn't going to help me get back to where I was, might as well leave it in here for a while. Take your condescension and shove it buddy.
I was one of the first investors when the new board came and although took some profit out, have like others lost a very large amount of capital. Still hold my large position, as I can’t see any benefit in selling a large remaining position at these depressed levels. Still think they are evaluating various deals and hope they close one this year as mentioned, but am well aware that closing a deal at these elevated oil and gas prices has become more difficult.
If you had £120k in hereof which I doubt very much.. Why would you hold?
We all know things are moving slow (Hand on my face)
If there's another venture then a Consolidation will take place to form a placing and your shares will be divided by 100.
So forgive me but what exactly do you gain from holding here in the mean time?
Lost over £120k here, still holding. I don't see this doing anything until 2023 at least. Been in contact with someone from the board, things are moving slow. It's not dead however, not yet anyway...
It's hard to see how the SP can rise again but I'm not selling as anything could happen! Dodgy companies dodgy deals dodgy # 1 Top Riser?
