The Pacific Valour is due to arrive at the FPSO Montara about Midnight. She may not need to return to the rig as it will only require two tugs to move her.
The supply ship Normand Swan is standing by about 3km from the rig, probably waiting to take the last backload of materials and equipment from the rig when it has completed the Jadestone job, which I guess will be in the next two or three days.
Spud Eve always used to be a good day to get in. Then sell up on Spud day. Used to be some crazy moves back in the day.. Not so much now..
It will be interesting to see if the herd jump in when the rig starts moving, or will they wait until spud is announced.
My guess is that some might join with time passing, whilst many are waiting to jump in when the rig handover is confirmed say from the rig moving
I wonder if FOMO will affect this stock enough to move the SP?
In theory there are only a few trading days left before we get a very positive RNS
Or is the market in a "I'll believe it when I see it" mindset?
Its so exciting.........
Indeed, the share price is holding up well and this is encouraging, as we wait for happy days.
Another flat day, 4p holding up while we wait...
There can be no escaping the irony in calling out the company for not keeping to its forward looking statements whilst at the same time calling for more forward looking statements!
The company, from what i can see of the numerous updates, has chosen not to wait for concrete things to happen but rather have decided to keep their shareholders informed about what they 'expect' to happen. By their very nature forward looking statements use words such as 'expect' and make assumptions that may not materialise or that may not be accurate (for a more in-depth description read the last paragraph of CVN's latest news on Buffalo-10). https://www.carnarvon.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Buffaloprojectupdate.pdf
That having been said it was interesting that CVN stated, '...rig handover expected within the next two weeks.' while LP's comments are that Carnarvon has informed him that, "...the rig handover will occur in a couple of weeks.'
Subtle, but If the rig handover is not within the two weeks mentioned based upon LP stating he has been informed it 'will occur' I'm not going to be able to argue with those who feel the communication is not working as it should be that between Jadestone/CVN/ADV or with shareholders.
For me personally I am over the moon that we will be moving within the next week.
Note the last line.
Regulatory approvals expected prior to receipt of the rig.
The operations team is waiting and ready to receive the Valaris JU-107 jack-up rig to commence drilling operations at the Buffalo-10 well-site. Logistics teams are in place, and all appropriate support services and equipment have been contracted, with the last remaining regulatory approvals expected prior to receipt of the rig.
Rumfella, read my words, watch my lips metaphorically befire you start throwing your childish accusations mate
good idea, I'll put it on the list.. (cars got none left, thats for sure....)
If you don't hear from me for awhile assume the worst and Mrs Wyn does in fact lie through her teeth and does read these BB's.....
Hahaha, air bag for Christmas then.
Worse Rum, you can be incompetent and in control... just like Mrs Wyn when she is driving.....
(God i hope she doesn't read this site...!)
Haha, I miss your humour and chart updates, Wyn.
Happy to help :0))
Thank you, Wyn. Which is exactly what adv did in saying ' there is a delay because of rig handover current opeator'
You would say, "I'm going to be late dear, there was an accident on the road".
Ontarget, and I genuinely mean this in the nucest way - for you to even ask that question implies to me that you are another o&g person.
What I would’ve expected is what a normal investor relations or another office(r) dealing with communications would be expected to do.
Look, it’s not my job but some simple tweet or briefing such as :-
We are in daily/weekly/communications with jadestone/Carnarvon/ drill team
We are currently delayed because........ and the length if this delay will be impacted by xyz. The financial cost of the delay to xyz wil be £...
He licence note vaguely mentioned is ......
As chief exec/bod we are working in your interests by xyz
Anyway, I'm not going to converse with you further, there is clearly an agenda to your posts so pointless, whilst me engaging with you is also contributing to debasing this BB.
Exciting times.
How can you be incompetent when it's not in your control?
When your partner asks what time you'll be home for dinner, you say I expect 630', then suddenly there is an accident on the journey home that makes you a little late are you also incompetent???
Answer that question in under 20 words so you can't twist and spin and squirm.
Can you say what you would have liked ADV to communicate?
Because to me they've been doing the only thing they can do, which is passing on the expected timescale from Jadestone.
You might want to note Jadestone the £400m+ company has communicated exacly zilch to their shareholders about the progress of their workovers in the last few months.
Nonsense Rumpoker - where does it say that in o&g it’s normal to be incompetent to say the least ?
I just don’t get it . The o &g on the one hand believe spud is very critical; but then criticise people like me who question the progress or lack of.
As it happens, I will be delighted not when rig moves but particularly when the predicted positive results are in. I’m experience and I know what I’m doing - in this case but and hold. But I’m well networked in my part of the world and publicised my support if Adv
The other thing, let’s be honest most people on bb’s are actually traders of some sort or another and as such are affected by things like margin call and so on
Yes I’m ok, but many of tge people I’m in contact with are not including many on here
There’s nowt much wrong with wanting straight talk cis believe me, ALL CEO’ s have tge ability to come across swarve, smooth and sophisticated. Me, I don’t like bs
There is a reason why none of hms posts deals with the position put to him about this being normal within O&G and trying to imply this is all abnormal.
Secondly, how about a bet that HMS doesn't post a single message on the day the rig does move.
Bladey : thanks for that post. Even though we won’t always agree I respect your contributions immensely
Milcsit : what you e posted has been duplicated again and again these past few weeks - promises upon broken promises
In this game it disent do good to just blindly follow what’s been told
