GrantedAsylum: I see you're a long term investor having been around since - well, yesterday. You clearly know the square root of diddly squat about ABDX - but if you want to make a total dikhead of yourself - you crack on. Where do these clowns come from eh? LoL
Don't forget that Boots already have 2 other Vit D self tests in store on the shelf both priced at £7.99, one is from Myhealthchecked (which is also on the stock market) so you're competing, if the price is higher which one will you choose as they all do the same thing...and this is on both the other tests:
"If your test result indicates a risk of Vitamin D deficiency or insufficiency, seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist before starting any treatment, which may include Vitamin D supplements"
So in hindsight you'll still need to see a doctor 🤣
Haha that's wishful thinking 😂. I'm hoping that price in a couple of years.
WOW 💤💤💤💤
GrantedAsylum: Calm down son - it's not an O&G or Gold share - best take the hyperbole elsewhere eh? This is a slow burn steady rise share (I hope) - we don't need need the spiv talk here.
How is level 2? Can we actually buy any??
Alamo, you want to wait 3 to 4 weeks for a doctor's appointment? I bloody don't, I can pop to boots and get a few tests, why wait for results? Test + results, straightaway, same day!
I will actually buy these, as a menopausal woman haha.
Alamo: You're a lucky guy and you just don't know it. Many folks have extreme difficulty accessing GP services - this is not news - it's reported on BBC et al regularly (hence the big increase in private GP services). Think yourself lucky - you clearly live in a fortunate area - many, many don't.
It does take weeks to get doctors appointments in many areas Alamo .
Your partner was lucky to get in early , you are generalising your experience with the rest of the U.K. which is very naive and sheltered of you .
Well the scenario goes like this.......
You wake up one morning felling extra tired even though you've had a good night's sleep, it continues for a further three nights and during the day as well. At the end of the week you think you have a problem so you phone the doctor, he decides you might be short of vit d or iron so he advised you to come in for a blood test to find out.
Or......you decide for yourself that you are short of vit d or iron because of extra tiredness, not 100% sure but you're in Boots and you see a self test and decide to buy. If you're not deficient you've wasted your hard earned, then your mate tells you that the doc would have done that for free!
So.....which scenario makes sense? Use your common sense here!......and yes Saintsmith last month my other half had these symptoms, she got an appointment for a blood test 2 days later and was diagnosed the following day. So in answer to your comment, it doesn't take weeks or months for a doc's appointment, you're just guessing at things you don't know!
Alamo: You have a doctor you can ring and talk to (not some snotty unhelpful receptionist? He actually invites you into the surgery? Without a long, long wait? You are in the very, very lucky few that use 'community health' - don't ever move house!!
Have you tried getting a doctors appointment recently Alamo ?
I would far rather know in 5 minutes than 5 weeks .
Time to top up on the Guinness and a spot of sun bathing whilst you wait .

Alamo55: Maybe because you can walk into Boots whenever you like and have a test in your hand in five minutes. The alternative is to 'make an appointment with your GP' (wahahahaha) - if you have one and if you can get an appointment - and maybe that appointment when you have finally persuaded the receptionist you really want/need one wont be too many weeks/months away!?
I do have an ignorant question….
Is it the case that we are simply providing our own Vitamin D and Iron tests to Boots for them to White Label. I’m assuming so given that Yates has confirmed we’re fulfilling material production orders during H2 24. Great if that is the case
.....why would anybody buy a self test for iron or vit d deficiency when you can get one on the NHS for free? Makes no sense unless people don't realise.
Any guess as to what our profit margin is on each test. We still got a long way to go to satisfy a share price equivalent to when the company went on AIM.
Yep great new , not many of my aim shares apart from this one I am positive about at the moment .
Looks like the smart strategic planning by the BOD over the last couple of years is finally paying off. Excellent news.
Phew...only 3 years time and not over 18,000 as I read it :)
Brilliant news!
Pleased I've been topping up, it's a no brainer.
Only share I'm confident in to invest long term at the minute.
Just goes to highlight the very wide broad and diverse mix of revenue opportunities now available to ABDX arising out of general LFT awareness, massive leaps in tech, and the extensive customer base it’s steadily built despite a few years of painful cost control. Well done to the BOD.
Yup, and there’s a very fair chance that Boots will look to further expand their self test offerings in future. Great new relationship.
Excellent news - ABDX seems on a roll now.
Well apart from anything, it gives us a foothold with the largest U.K. pharmacy brand, which is great for us and surely must be attractive to any potential CRO/CDMO partner ultimately looking to commercialise through the retail self test market.
So that’s now Boots, Tesco, and Superdrug we have relations with. Not bad. Not bad at all.
