I have not had anything through my ISA or SIPP re a vote
Why is one person have a chat with himself with two different screen names?
Hello RD2U. I'm rather miffed with my UK broker...they want me to do all the research and work out facts and numbers for them to act as nominee - the sort of thing that my American brokers do as a regular service to clients. For "two pins"I'd tell 'em to "shove it" but it's very difficult to swap to another UK broker (or bank) if you are US resident (or national).
Generally I don't pay much for a bottle of wine ...maybe $5 for a white zinfandel or $10 for a Gewurztraminer (Columbia Valley, Washington State - a pre-2016 Chateau Ste Michelle (if I can find one locally). Red wine doesn't sit too good for me but occasionally I'll go for a Chilean or even French Mouton Cadet. Right now the Mexicans are clearing vast acres of Sonora and Baja California to expand their wine industry. Some of the Guadalupe Valley stuff is getting very nice but their prices aren't competitive with a comparable US slurp.
I'm still just under 50C here in the south western desert. We're aiming for the north west tip of that Peach State or more likely its neighbor SC. It's cooler in the "upstate"(foothills0. Coastal is diabolically humid in Summer. The problem right now is that our US mortgage/loan rates are so low and with the Covid-19 situation there is a very limited choice of houses being offered.. Consequently houses are being snapped up almost as soon as they are listed. I'm 2500 miles away from the action so I've no chance of getting imto things in time. Still the weather should be more bearable here in about 6 weeks and I might as well enjoy a warmer winter and hope by next Spring that you people can supply us with an effective vaccine. I have been under permanent quarantine since April ( 'cos I have to cross a State boundary and return back everytime I need food, milk or prescriptions made up.). Now you are going to be in the same predicament if you go to buy booze in Calais (lol).
I certainly hope SSL (or SAND in our case) has nowhere near reached its full value. With its Hod Maden jv the future should be just as hopeful as our Salinbas. I'd lay off the "pot" too. I made okay with cdh only to get burnt with TLRY. Serves me right...I sold off my high-flying airline (VLRS) shares because I listened to a popular tipster firm saying the industry was doomed. It promptly gained 25%. Normally when Motley Tool or British BS extols something...I get rid of it asap!
I did think the gold bubble had fizzled out earlier but it's moving up again. A nice RNS or two from Kerim plus positive voting for the 24th and maybe we'll get a dividend hint to push us over 6p. (or even more...thinking greedily!) Have a Great Weekend ya'all.
Hi Joe
On the iii platform, I have received notification to vote, deadline 24 August.
I enjoyed your link on Sonoma County, wines etc added to my knowledge. Ty
BTW in your posts am I correct in assuming that you have left the desert? Have you crossed the Mississippi yet and are you still south of the Mason-Dixon Line? My guess is you are in Tarheel country or possibly in the Peach State? Joe do not take the moniker Cotton-eye Joe, unless you are truly a moon shiner! Tennessee / Kentucky? I have sold half of my ssl. I am thinking of selling the remainder having missed the recent spike. Can anyone blame me with a p/e of 231.21, has it reached full value? I too am also interested in all things “cbd” and have eyes focused on acb.to, looking for a crackpot entry, excuse the pun! AAU is looking solid, I think it will crack the 6 level, as we approach the AGM and other news worthy events, I am hoping pm’s will have another run up….
Ash, I trust you are keeping the auditors at bay as you approach your final month of penance
Best wishes everyone and keep safe
Rd2U
Enjoying the sunshine…..
TGIF what’s the wine choice tonight; I fancy a little cabernet sauvignon!
Thanks , VanVan, and I have contacted my brokers accordingly.
I had to contact my nominees to tell them I wanted to vote yes to all the resolutions. Don’t miss your chance to vote.
Hello MK ...I haven't heard anything about voting on 24th August from my broker (Equiniti). Anyone else dealing through them, please?
Last date for AAU Voting being 24th August - hope team here have started voting.
Sp now getting on track - not sure though if it is undervalued though, looking at the director buys last week.
Absolutely agree, No changes. we have an awesome board. slow and steady. They have built v strong foundations. the growth is still to come - I think it will become apparent in the next 6-9 months. GLA
They have done a stella job old beam.
What they have in store for the future looks as well.
No substitutes to be introduced at the this stage of the game, keep the same players.
To all LTHs
As a newer on AAU, I have received a voting date for AAU BOD last date being 24th august.
As you are well aware of the BOD, it will be useful as to what your choices will be , so that recent entrants like me can go with you. Are you totally happy with the current BOD ?? to be voted again
