Anyway, enjoy Canada day and the 4th of July.
Good weekend everyone.
‘ Be assured that he is.’ Woof Woof!
Just be thankful how resplendent and complete your life now is, for where would it be without Lord Flasheart and ‘Commie Joe’ ?
So how did Commie Joe come into being,

Be assured that he is. I never filter but I no longer respond to such crap. Today is Canada Day and we have their flag flying for a few hours. "Old Glory " will soon follow on Monday next!

‘ Seriously, though, there was a helluva lot of gold found in 2009 near Lichfield’

‘So how are you all getting on over there in your little country since gaining Independence?’
The God Emperor Trump did his best to keep America great but the globalists and their puppets want to join Canada and Mexico into some union, a globalists dream.
Lichfield? Never knew that. Perhaps I should buy a metal detector and try a new retirement hobby.
Yes, 4th July next week. So how are you all getting on over there in your little country since gaining Independence?
Does this means you might take exception to being told to " get stuffed", John? (lmao). Tomorrow we'll fly our Maple Leaf and Monday it's turkey time and fireworks. Seriously, though, there was a helluva lot of gold found in 2009 near Lichfield...or you could try panning in the River Trent? That way Atkinsons might pay you!

From memory Bonkers Atkinsons are in the Royal Borough of Sutton Coldfield, where I was dragged up from 7 months old and went to Grammar School. So I'm a posh Brummie. I know I was 7 months as I was born in Kingstanding and pushed up the hill, to the new acquired Sutton house, sharing my pram with the Christmas turkey.
Lets all hope the corner has been turned!
Morning.
Yes, all my Gold & Silver comes from Atkinsons - they're close to me in Brum :)
It does feel somewhat odd having thousands of pounds of Gold coins rock up in a jiffy bag via the regular postman but it's all insured so no worries :)
I note they have been cleared out of 1/4 ,1/2 & double Sovereigns recently and there's only 17 1/4 Britannias left as I type - perhaps that's meaningful, perhaps it's not.
Anyway, fingers crossed for the de rigeur flash crash on Gold/Silver in the coming weeks but I'm not relying on it.
Well now we have the "road map" of where and when we are going as well as the date of the final tranche of our divvi from the JV coming into being.
You and I have communicated in tandem Paul on here over the years.....and my grandfather was killed by Al Capone's men ....and my Greatx6 Uncle Charles Gordon has statues all over the place....will probably get pulled down eventually.....and yep Stormont and the Irish equivalent in Phoenix Park is where my Mum and her friends went to start up integrated education In NI....I'd be a few miles away and haven't got my boat in yet...unlike johnpwh...lucky sod!
Yep the RNS got me topping up....Good luck you honorable · respectable ; upstanding · noble ; scrupulous · proper ; conscientious · fair ; incorruptible · ...non reprobate....lol
‘ and even PAUL1DEANO to an extent! ’
Steady on dear chap, I was on here before all those ‘reprobates’
Anyhow currently in Belfast and went to Stormont today and went by the Edward Carson statue, upon reading the plaque it mentioned be raised a Regal finger to the sky. Sounds right up ‘Commie Joe’s’ alley, woof woof.
https://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/opinion/news-analysis/eilis-ohanlon-why-toppling-carsons-statue-at-stormont-is-the-height-of-nonsense-36059173.html
Back to the important news, what a fantastic well written RNS I enjoyed reading that.
I bought from Atkinsons on the eve of the Brexit vote. My logic was that the (rejection of change) result was considered so nailed on that the sterling value of gold was unlikely to change - but would go up significantly due to weakness in sterling if the unexpected did happen, which of course it did.
I did find it odd that the postman rocked up with several grands worth of shiny coins in his bag. I half expected a Brinks Mat lorry with blokes in helmets.
I have always found Atkinson's to be very good on both price and service. I have recommend them to a lot of my friends and they have also had positive experiences.
If you don't hold it in your hand then when this ship goes down you'll find that you don't actually own it. If I remember correctly it was HSBC who were given a substantial fine for selling gold to clients and charging an annual storage fee. It turned out that there was no gold, they simply took clients money as payment for gold and milked them of fees for storing ...............nothing! Banking is simply a huge organised crime syndicate. Be your own banker.
"The great reset" is simply the rebranding of the death of the petrodollar as the global reserve currency. This will be financially devastating for most people, particularly in the West. Gold is insurance.
Yes bonker99.....your call is in line with GS. I am still underwater with my AG....and wish I'd bought 2nd hand to limit the VAT.
I think Rob Halliday-Stein's company in Birmingham Bullion By Post sells halfs under £200 and can do the 2nd hand silver so you only pay VAT on the Bid/Offer Spread sort of scenario.
thank-you John....and I agree about VanVan....his posts are great....and I also relate to PAUL1DEANO.....I guess if I lived in USA I'd be likely to vote Republican....although they all end up going the wrong direction more often! Anyway fresh start here for me! Good Luck johnpwh!
Hi bankrupty :)
I don't know about the GS call but I've got a medium-term intermediate target for Gold of c$2.4k with the move towards that starting in H2 2022 - that's been my view from a year ago but of course I cannot know what price that move starts from although anything above $1,720 is fine to my eye - I'm buying physical myself right now so I'm keenly awaiting/hoping for a flash crash of course :)
As for Silver, I'm hoping they dump it in a few weeks time into the $16.50-$19 area where I'll be buying a substantial amount of physical silver myself.
5% divis always welcome :)
Oh I see who you are talking about bankrupty, I'm afraid you may have me in the wrong group - I filtered, unfiltered then permanently filtered Paul1deano 3 years ago, so I never read the posts he invariably publishes after me - sometimes wonder of he is being rude as I'm sure he is!
With respect in my opinion I think you have VanVan wrong. I have known him for a long time and he is one of the posters I most respect on both boards - I don't think he will mind me saying that he uses a different pseudonym there.
I believe all views should be respected, as it is always easy to be reassured by 'fanboys'. Inevitably people posting want to be optimistic as they are almost invariably invested. Cynics can be valuable, especially informed ones.
Well done on your investment. Hope the lucky '8's work!
welcome bonker99.....nearly 50,000 posts...wow...must be a doz. a day....i'll try to catch up..lol.
I got my halfs @£99 about 12 years back and luckily the10g bars at under £60 about 10 years before then.....wish I hadn't taken some profits! I hope we do well here.....the dividends have more or less covered my initial investment in AAU.....the only problem with today's Goldman Sachs call of $2,500 before year end...is that their calls are often a contrary indicator....don't know about $US weakness...and all fiat is weak anyway with more weakness to come....I keep saying that the important thing is....how many ounces do you have in your hand, above and below ground in your shares, and hopefully some in certificate form....because when it does hit the fan.....we'll find out who really owns what in our nominee accounts....although I hold most there for convenience!

Afternoon - I picked some up here earlier - GL.
It's not really the "views" johnpwh It's the name calling and arrogance involved.....when one comes up with a researched opinion on say the "price of gold" or "world politics of a "non-demoncrat" nature....indeed anyview that differs from your "in crowd" previous "shareholding" group's.....But I guess over time your clique seems to have accepted VanVan and even PAUL1DEANO to an extent! So truce to move forward is my proposition....most of my holdings in over 20 companies within my portfolio feature multiple 8s....Bet you can guess my lotto nos. lol. Chinese believe that people with the lucky number 8 have strong intuition and insight. Eight has the similar pronunciation with Fa (meaning wealth or fortune).
GLA
Oh come off it bankruptcy,.us grumpies are fairly friendly, we just don't share some of the rose tinted spec views of others, particularly on the 'other board'. Nice buy, as a maths sort of bloke I like the number. Maybe you should appreciate grumpies as our views possibly allowed you a lower price!
Don't wish to voice my opinion.....as comments from grumpy old "boys" can ruin my day's enjoyment....but just topped up a further 288888!
My post this morning on ADVFN>
The A.R & A's reads very well. Intelligent, perceptive, mature, visionary and strategic.
Why does this Co hide its talents under a bushel?
Did we appreciate they had undertaken such a comprehensive strategic review? Anyway they obviously have and have articulated their vision and strategies much more clearly and coherently than I’ve seen for a long time. Perhaps they do listen just don’t like to admit it! But they do need to communicate this now to a wide audience. Not just private shareholders. It has to be to the shakers in the City. We are doing great things, better than most in so many ways but it is wasted as no one seems to know.
I can see how the Co can now start to really articulate in detail how each of the strategies are playing out and as they say news flow should increase. On a personal note AGM 10th August mid-day well done. Listened again and dividend October.
