Congo relies heavily on oil income, in fact they would be finished without it. They will want all projects to succeed!!
Zen, the SNPC have been paying quite large amounts of money to AAOG to stay in this project and they are clearly having to search down the back of the sofa. If the Congolese government wanted to sit us out and it make it difficult for us they wouldn't have paid us a penny and waited for us to run out of cash on the back of their delays. The commitment theyve shown has been very positive imho
£5m or $5m, whatever - Either is soooooo far off the mark that I suspect you were trying to cause mischief.
e/stevens - There was no £5m option (it was $5m) but like over there and now here, no one has even considered it which will potentially refect on possible cash needs.
Skittish - I like your style - always an interesting and informed read. How much of that £800m will flow over to Marine III will indeed be most interesting.
Looks like Zengas wasn't getting any bites on this over on ADVFN so thought would give it a whirl over here. It's good to see that he removed the £5m option for the cost of the licence renewal - It sounded just a little bit rich to me (or anyone else for that matter!)
Hi skittish Thanks very much for sharing .r

"You previously mentioned New Age deal completion : - “New Age will utilise the proceeds from this transaction to further strengthen its balance sheet and to redeploy into its African portfolio, including the Marine III licence in the Republic of Congo, the Etinde licence in Cameroon and its exploration assets. "
Marine 111 as you illustrate is right next to AAOG tilapia assets,

Thanks for the reply Skittish, we really are in a good place.....just sitting quietly and waiting.
irishmouse and Tiptop, Unfortunately the satellites have not been very co-operative recently.
The last decent image of the site was on 12th September and hinted at some possible disturbance in the vicinity of TLP-103. - but it is difficult to say for sure.
Small vehicles wouldn't show at the resolution of the "free" daily imagery, you'd need something more container sized to show up clearly. Certainly between 3rd August, by which time the original (presumably SMP) containers had disappeared and 12th September, nothing new of significance had appeared on site.
Of course it is possible that equipment had arrived and then left between these dates, and you wouldn't be able to tell without access to the better imagery which does appear from time to time, albeit in an unpredictable manner.
By way of poor compensation I give you my latest sketch using Google Earth, this time from an oblique angle.

to me it illustrates how close we (meaning AAOG, New Age and Wing Wah) all are to each other. We're almost all sitting on top of each other with Tilapia right in the middle - the sweetest of sweet spots.
To me that is all you need to know when deciding to buy shares in AAOG.
New Age completed the sale of Marine XII last week, some of that $800M will flow towards Marine III.
I can hardly wait for drilling to commence there, and they will go straight for the Djeno.
Fat fingers, but you know what I mean.
Is anything showing up on your satiate? They should be working top side by now.
