The consortium and DK are savy but DK have not increased their shareholders to over 22.9% to walk away now if 35p has not received the required 75%. Still awaiting the rns.
Maybe the deal / offer has been rejected and they are deciding what to do but they should announce the results before they make any higher offer, maybe there is no higher offer and that's why they haven't said anything yet.
No idea but had expected it by now. When Aston Martin held a special meeting in early December meeting was 09:30 and the results RNS was published before 10:00. Not sure if delay is good news or not. Hoping discussing a higher offer price. Cannot see DK or the two consortium members walking now. Just a question of how much additional required to get them to 75%.
Anyone any ideas about time we will get result
Relevant meetings are 11:00 and 11:15 today. Was hoping for an RNS by now saying there was an improved offer and they had further letters of support (as per Texas RNS). Think Jamesbond is right that this is a done deal in terms of the buyer given amount of purchases DK have made. Just a question of what price per share the shareholders receive.
So was /is the plan to announce the results today or what?
I've heard that gossip too, fingers crossed it's correct and an improved offer will be forth coming.
Happy days if true James. Should lead to an increased offer price to get them over the line.
The buzz around the company is that it appears that the offer has be rejected, don't take it as gospel but the grapevine is normally pretty accurate.
I pulled out long time ago at 35p and over doubled my money. The market has moved up loads, waiting for the take over doesn’t make sense and if there’s any problems could drop lower before higher where I would buy back in. GLA
No idea but decided to sit tight and wait & see as AA is only a 2.7% of my portfolio.....
Why would Weiss increase their long position to approx 3/4 mill ? They must think the price will increase ? Any thoughts ?

Likewise, I decided to sell to realise profits, rather than wait for the possibility of shareholders not agreeing, the deal failing , followed by a big drop. Couldn't get a quote for 8000 shares to start with but sold within a few minutes at 34.35p, for an average profit of 22% since Sept. Best of luck to remaining holders - I hope for you that an improved offer comes. GLA
Decided to sell , had to sell in numerous chunks as could not get a quote for anything over 5000 shares, which was a bit of a hit on transaction fees, but happy with 32% gain and will sit and watch, with cash ready if AA offers another opportunity. GLA
Its a done deal guys, believe me when i tell you hat.
Sparkle1, I am out at 34.4 as I said the other day so where in my post did I say to anyone buy I didn't.
I just said they might find it hard to get to 75% which means it could go down or it could go up if they offer more money, don't read more into my post than there is.
Sparkle1, I am out as I said I sold for 34.4 the other day, So where on my post did I say buy to anyone I didn't I just said they might find it hard to get 75% and still a game on.
It's going to go down for a while if they don't get the 75% and it could go up if they offer more than the 35p. Don't read more into my post than there is.
Jedclampit... on Friday you told everyone you were out... why then are you trying to convince people to stay in at high risk?
These are the options: 1. take the 35p. 2. If they dont get 75% it could / probably will go under and be bought back out of admin, shares suspended for a year 3. Sell now at 2% lower than waiting and invest in something more worthy asap which is likely to earn more in next couple of months / on the extremely unlikely event the shares still trade at a lower price, buy back in then.
I just dont get why you are so keen on holding when on Friday you said you were out. Oh well, One of lifes great mysteries.
Game on - Fantastic for me as I and others would love an increased offer. I also believe I have coverage for any losses as my share platform provider has suspended my access to this share for 2 months which I'm putting a hefty but fair claim for compensation in for. If this does plummet, they'll be reimbursing me for the loss.
So it now looks like they have approx 30% in favour and I guess they will also get another 20% from Kemp making about 50% with only a few days to go.
This is going to be very close and they may not get the 75% needed, so game on !!!!
Vote is Thursday but brokers like HL require their shareholders votes by midday today. I am concerned the RNS of mid December was misleading and not all PIs will be able to vote or cast legitimate votes. Think unfortunately it is now a done deal after University of Texas’ support in this mornings second RNS.
Was there not sone decision or news due to come out soon? I thought it was the 9th but can't be as that was Sunday, maybe over the next few days?
I can't remember what it was but it was AA related.. My memory has failed me!!
I have a minority view here that the share price on a no deal will only go up. For the share price to go down you need more sellers than buyers. But who would sell after the vote when they can sell now?
It is well understood that PE have got The AA on the cheap or at least we understand what needs to be done. In terms of capital injection at a placing price of say 35p. Then it's onto 60p+
( CEOAdam... there is some point in selling - if they dont get 75% votes, likely to go bust.)
That couldn't be futher from the truth, just because they don't get 75% means they will have to raise more money and possibly more shares with consolidation that's all.
AA. do not need the cash right now but over the next 1-2 years and once that has been taken care of they have a good chance of moving back up to 60p+ it will just take a little longer.OK if they don't get the 75% this week then the sp will fall again but that would be a great time to buy in as well. Life is a gamble.
CEOAdam... there is some point in selling - if they dont get 75% votes, likely to go bust. If you want to hold, then ascertain how much you would lose if you sell now. If its marginal then sell. If you are losing masses (like me) then you might want to split the risk and sell some.
I feel very sorry for the employees here... they need to agitate their company and BoD (who are going to rake it in) as to a) how their pensions are protected and b) why are they still being asked to pay into a share scheme which in my view should have ceased and compensation paid. I would encourage all holders who are AA employees to write to their MP / Union over this issue - if the company goes bust without 75% vote, then what happens to the pension fund? Further Bidco are only covering some of the debt of the pension fund is my understanding. I would be extremely unhappy if I was an employee in this situation. Hopefully they have strong representation with regard to their pensions. If i was an employee (I'm not) then i think i would be looking to move my pension fund out ASAP. I feel very sorry for the employees. It all went wrong with PE over ladelling with debt and when the CEO knocked out his FD in a bar brawl...im losing shedloads but have myself to blame for not being on the ball. Could see writing on wall and ignored it LOL! But hey life not too bad as Synairgen gains cover the losses...live and learn.
