Norman's Cay, Exumas is where you want to be Dazza, or Staniel. We'll see you there in the anchorage IF 88E ever pulls some of the decent black stuff out of the ground....
All that is good...maybe it may be time to actually extract the ****ing oil....
Plus we got a thumbs up https://cdn.finfeed.com/images/88E_oVgDs5a.width-800.png
I feel like this Is the one. It stacks up against local
drills - Willow for example, its location hasn’t been chosen out of convenience simply because it was drilled before and something may have been missed. It feels like we are learning from the previous failures and they have helped us a lot to prepare for this next drill. I’m very excited for this one.
The map in the RNS shows how close it is to Willow. A great postcode to be in! Does anyone know how the depths compare, Willow depth to Merlin and Harrier depths?
PB took the original Icewine leases based on his model and the potential for the HRZ to produce unconventional oil via vapour phase.
We now know those leases are bitumen.
Forget PB's input and be grateful that Dave has moved to conventional, otherwise you'd never see a chance of getting your 2015/2016/2017 pounds back.
I agree with Redirons synopsis but good luck with whatever your strategy ends up being Dazza. Living off a yacht ...nice!
Yes, PB was an amazing guy. Over the years I have put a lot of money in to 88 on the back my belief in him. I know DW has his doubters, but if the new takeover has got us into another drill which if sucsessful will mean we can realise the HRZ, then it is all to play for. Lets see how it plays out.
Dazza - you may be right but what I hold onto is how many drills we have attempted compared to Eagle Ford before they found (mega) success. Every time we fail, we’re closer to the successful find and we only need one. It’s what keeps me going as I believe PB knew his stuff - good luck to all Lthers in whatever they decide to do, but I’m in too deep to turn a paper loss into a real one and who knows, the next drill might be the one!! VGLA!!
CD, yes I thought about that but I want to buy a yacht in the next year. Since Trump stopped people with visas working in the US I have not been able to return to my apartment in Miami and with the likelyhood of more "working from home" in the future I would love to live at anchor somewhere in the Bahamas. Its close enough to "Pop" in to the office when needed and the tax savings may even pay for my lifestyle!
You don't need to sell all your holding dazza. Sell most but keep a percentage in in case of success is one possible strategy.
The thing is most of us have heard this all before.
Price bleeding from previous failure, spin the price up, CR, price drops to CR level, Price rises to drill, price bleeds from failure.
Ive been in since pre-globe days. So If I play this correctly and get out of here (with massive losses, but less loss than if I got out after one of the failures) we will probably find oil! I dont know if I can go through another drill only to see all hope evaporate once the drill is complete.
It looks that way, DW is certainly sounding confident that we’ll be drilling the start of next year. Although we have had the line about targeting closing of a deal prior to year end before, so hopefully this one will come off.
Right ho dream om
Transformational even! :-)
Looking good for 88e....imo next 24 months wil be informational for us, with huge SP re-rate....imo
