Only asking.....sorry

It still involves drilling!
OK, but I'm still puzzled as to why no mention was made of "spudding", just that drilling had commenced. Not that it matters too much tbh - it was just a point of discussion. Thanks, and GL.
10:45 not sure if depths have been given by the company, only graphics I have seen give seismic scales readings not feet or yards, I did post the geologic markers for Malguk-1 a few days ago.
Complicated maths, like 2 +2=5 you mean?
re the depths for each target please? Someone posted before but i cant find it.
Keefy, 10:34. The RNS merely stated drilling had commenced. No mention of spudding was made, so since spudding involves drilling and casing/cementing etc, how do you know it was spudded before drilling commenced yesterday?
Should have added buys are at 1.144p, I am happy for it to close at these levels.
34 million traded, still buys of 1K, 2K, 5K and 7K coming in the last hour, so volume is good which should increase as we have of late good activity near the close.
Surface casing & leak off test was carried out at 2500ft and they allowed 3days for the Winx drill to complete these operations, so definitely does alter drilling rates.
Cheers Jiddy. Very politer than ones self. Ha Ha. It,s the Southern sun. http://tinyurl.com/akquofe
Chartman, it is indeed. A lot of complicated maths involved too. I'll stick to my average ;-). Close enough for me.
10:29 only if you have got two brains :-)
TD 10:24
They started "drilling" yesterday.
Casing & cementing was done during spudding.
27 days drilling at 425 feet per day = 11475 TD
Hope this helps
keefy
I did say that the average took into account days spent casing etc. Clearly some days will exceed that figue, and some won't.
A reliance on others is too common on this BB, however if anything is said out of turn then you are pilloried as a troublemaker.
We are all here to make money, and don't expect it to fall into your lap. Do some personal research to earns your profits!
careful with averages - Malguk-1 days 1-3 2800', days 4-6 200'
necessary operations casing, cementing, BOPE all mean days when drilling will not happen.
We will almost certainly be casing, cementing and BOPE between 2500' and 3000'.
The Nordic Rig#3 commenced drilling of the Winx-1 exploration well at 15:15 on the 15th February (AK time) - on schedule. The well was drilled to 600' prior to pulling out of hole to pick up the smart bottom hole assembly, with logging while drilling tools attached. At 11:45 17th February (AK time), Nordic Rig#3 was drilling ahead at 880'.
The above is an extract from the Winx drill RNS dated 18/02/2019, so you can work out approx 480 or so over 24 hrs
Its a very good read if you have the time to read it.
Research for rate of penetration
https://www.intechopen.com/books/drilling/rate-of-penetration-prediction-utilizing-hydromechanical-specific-energy
They reckon on getting to TD in 30 days, so 11400ft / 30 =380ft on average, taking into account the days when they're casing/cementing etc.
Excuse the bluntness but ignorance comes from not doing any research or reading. The answer is down below if you have got the time to scroll down. Sorry for being so blunt but you are not the first to expect the very well versed posters on here to provide you with all the details.Cheers.
Hi Bobrad, 10:17
Approx 425 feet per day, ish
keefy
Excuse the ignorance, what amount of drilling can they achieve in a typical day.thanks.
