Surely theres a few short positions feeling the sting right now.
Another 5% raise this week in SP would take us over the £1 again which would be great to see......once we get past that who knows what the potential is.
I could see some takeover news / rumours towards the end of April.....but am prepared to wait as long as it takes to achieve 150p+
It is going to break through to over £! ... moving to 130p
Non story - it means you can only bet £2 a spin but those hooked it will make no difference as they will spin spin & spin again.
In other news, I am getting ready to send out the £1 party invites.
Hmm, we've reached 97p again. Possibly time to take a little profit and wait for some pullback?

Not good for 888
The government capping the spin amount to 2 quid
Gonna hurt the income statement
Could really do with a big buy some news to break past 95p and carry this momentum!
It has been behaving well over the last sessions and is consolidating all the time. Buyable dips and UK companies recognised as so undervalued it looks like private equity will take a lot as knck down prices while the $$$$$ is strengthening.
Even SN. and PRU must be on the block, deal news expected from MCG and many others. GNC SSPG are susceptible as is RANK.
The more the merrier, just be patient.
Do we know what is driving that end of day spike?
My liver will be shot.
Sorry the previous link was deleted, here is the updated one with some added TA on the chart. https://x.com/SwazersC/status/1759335817154105758?s=20 A big day tomorrow as #888 will contend with the 200 ema. https://www.tradingview.com/x/157WHakF/
#888 Is moving as per my TA idea and is now 8p up from when I dropped my chart ideas on the th of Feb https://x.com/SwazersC/status/1754467344884072917?s=20 GL to all investors. https://www.tradingview.com/x/1yuc5u29/ https://www.tradingview.com/x/Nzb3RvVM/
Lile is corrrect, an easy way to track where you are with a share. Add / trim over time and shares end up free and then become a core holding to add to, virtually derisked.
Again, this week if we can get to the weekend over 95p......it puts us in a good position going into next week on the back of another 5% + rise in SP.
Would be more than happy if we keep ticking along at that rate until a buyer starts sniffing around again.
I've always taken the view that you have no profit or loss until it is crystalised, and once it is, that trade is over. If you happen to take out a new position in the same share, the whole process starts again. Using your previous figures to calculate an average might make you feel better, but doesn't really reflect your current position.
I wonder how people who do it that way account for negative averages.
Lile - thank you for explaining.
If you buy 10 shares at £1, the price then increases to £1.5, and you sell 5 shares, your "true" average could be said to be lower, because for the remaining 5 shares you hold the cost to you is now only £2.50, so 50p a share.
I don't personally count my averages like that, but I have seen and heard it done.
