Hear hear RAS. I thinks its better than 30% chance at the moment. Give Nel a solid 18-24 months EU Central will be being built and BP or Shell will be in.
Mike & RAS,
NEL have not promised anything about tomorrow's Q4 results.
I have been pointing out since November 2021 that this set of results - JUST 3 MONTHS trading ONLY not a lifetime - I have pointed out the first full months of operation of Heroya.
Heroya
Heroya
Heroya
If they mention :-
NIKOLA
EVERFUEL
IBERDROLA
In any way going forward these 3 will be key !
I would be amazed if we hit NOK15 just on this BUT
it could flush out PR regarding Nikola Corp Tre FCEV coming out next year and the US / CANADIAN Hydrogen hubs being created. Once Nikola hits the press with an infrastructure plan...then its game on and BULK.
Same for Everfuel. Any sniff of EU expansion PR could see the EU funds buying in.
Iberdrola :- what can I say. Totally underestimated. Any PR will not really make the needle move until a contract drops for an order of €200m...
Just the 3 small projects LOL.
I will read and assess every subtle word tomorrow and even if it drops, I am still in.
Cheer up guys building a USD$1-10 BILLION DOLLAR business takes time. Maybe we will get to USD$3 BILLION and get bought out by big oil...
Mike , your wish to buy shares in Purus ...
Out today :-
The overall development of Hexagon Purus has significantly exceeded our expectations since the spin off in December 2020. The Company has more than doubled its year-over-year (organic) revenue growth, landed several landmark customer contacts, carried out a transformative acquisition of Wystrach and established a joint venture in China, the world’s largest hydrogen market,” says Jon Erik Engeset, President & CEO Hexagon Composites.
“Hexagon is fully supportive of the Company’s growth and expansion strategy, and we are confident about the value creation potential from our Hexagon Purus shareholding. Our intention, as previously stated, is to take Hexagon Purus to the main list on the Oslo Stock Exchange before the summer of 2022.”
I agree may not be jam tomorrow but hydrogen economy stocks can really fly on positive news ... see ceres power recently.
Like MO I'm in for the long term. This feels so much like internet stocks in the last 90s. This decade will see big winners in new energy, biotech and machine learning
At times like this, there are always insiders who know what is coming. The SP has continued to slide .So sadly I am not optimistic re tomorrow. I hope i am wrong. This is my second biggest investment. GLA
Just added a few more (2475) which takes my holding to 22000 shares. Whether it's tomorrow or 6 months this will move. If big oil is really serious Nel would be a great fit ( small change with oil profits atm) You get electrolysers and refuelling together.
The geopolitical situation sadly can only be v favourable too
Thanks MO,
This is my 3rd biggest holding and I share your enthusiasm. I am an angel investor in 2 hydrogen start ups and the consensus amongst the teams is that Nel electrolysers are the tops.
I've just been on the Hexagon website and the results are v encouraging. I understand Nel are a partner but do you know if they have retained a holding in Hexagon?
Good luck to all holders for tomorrow
Q4 results Nel Hydrogen tomorrow.
Strap in. Hopefully some clue to the :-
NIKOLA CORP 700 H2stations USD$1 BILLION PLUS
EVERFUEL €200M PLUS IBERDROLA €800M - 1 BILLION.
TOTAL FROM 3 - THREE - 3 CONTRACTS NEAR =
3 B I L L I O N
Looking at a lithium mine the average large lithium mine is approx USD$1-1.5 BILLION Life of mine.
NEL HYDROGEN with just 3 - three - 3 contracts could hit x2 of a lithium mine !!!
Oh do i give nel a hold or a strong buy , hmmmm....
With shares being hit without regard , go figure just HOW BIG NEL WILL BE ! ! !
Been saying this for 2 years and yes it has been 200% higher. You pay your money you take your chance.
Me , this is my biggest holding
Nel hydrogen spin off and partner WOW
Signed a long-term binding letter of intent (LOI) with Hino Motors Manufacturing U.S. Inc. Hexagon Purus will provide battery packs for multiple Hino truck platforms with serial production planned from 2024. The total sales value over the life of the agreement is estimated at USD 1 billion
USD$1 BILLION FROM ONE CONTRACT LIFE - WOW.
Mike, unfortunately you cannot buy on the open market unless you have a direct Oslo exchange platform. I got mine when Nel spun it off. I can only sell through HL but cannot buy.
How can I buy more Hex Purus, Hargreaves will; sell but not buy?
Nel Hydrogen and SFC ENERGY will be looking at this.
"India is the world’s third-largest energy consumer. By 2030, India aims to have 50% of its energy requirements from renewable energy and to reduce total projected carbon emissions by one billion tons compared to 2005 levels.
Back-up power represents a segment with significant untapped potential to reduce carbon emissions. In India alone there are over 680,000 mobile towers using diesel generators as back-up power. Finding a solution that can run on hydrogen will fast-track the emissions reductions within the segment.
Hydrogen is considered a key lever in helping reach India’s ambition of cleaner air initiatives in public transport. Reliance is pushing for the development of hydrogen automotive infrastructure along selected highways connecting the major cities in India.
Timing
The cylinders are due to be delivered in the first half of 2022."
Seperate media from August last year - interesting dates both used ....The partnership will focus on developing industrial solutions to replace less efficient diesel generators with more efficient systems based on hydrogen fuel cells in combination with green hydrogen production through electrolysis. Initially, SFC Energy and Nel will address applications in a power range of up to 50kW with a daily operating time of two to ten hours which can be used as reliable emergency power generators for critical power applications. In the medium-term, the partnership is aiming to develop systems in the power range of up to 500 kW for telecom, data center and auxiliary power unit (APU) markets. The parties aim to introduce the first products to the market during the second half of 2022."
FIRST PRODUCTS TO MARKET IN 2ND HALF 2022. If you are going storage hydrogen ( H Purus ) you will then be a position to fill it with hydrogen ?
SFC "
Nel Hydrogen Q4 Results on Weds just 2 sleeps.
Nel Hydrogen stable mate Hexagon Purus.
"We are pleased to receive our first orders for India, and to support Reliance in the beginning of their exciting journey to transform India to a globally leading hydrogen economy,” says Frank Häberli, SVP Asia, Hexagon Purus."
Thanks for input MO. As ever v interesting reading. Can't wait for Wednesday
An example of 2 deals for Hexagon Purus. Head blown
"This agreement comes in addition to the already announced nomination of Hexagon Purus by a major commercial truck OEM for the supply of battery packs. For Hexagon Purus, these two agreements represent an estimated value of between approximately $ 1.8 billion and $2.2 billion."
Q4 2021 look back results out this coming week.
Don't expect too much on 3/4's of 2021 due to covid thats going to be a fact.
HOWEVER, it is Q4 and MOST IMPORTANTLY the look forward to Q1-Q2 2022. Cannot blooming wait. Finally the future is here.
Just got to get rid of Ebola, LASSI Fever, little old covid and a smaller matter of a Russian invasion in Europe and Chinese invasion of Taiwan this year.
Hmmm unlucky Alf for those old enough to remember the Fast Show. It get very fast very soon.
3 quick points Mr B. Good post.
1 - Another gentleman has made this point only lastnight, but asked of him the next 2 points
2 - Nel has a fully automated factory. How much work force do they actually need ? No workforce line employees other than a few people to observe, maintain the general paperwork etc 20 people ? 2 other smaller factories not fully auto could be 50-60?
They imho will build up with Nel specifically pointing out that a new facility is looking at being built to supply PEM. Heroya is supplying Alkaline electrolysers. Regarding the supply I agree spread your risk, but thats not to say Nel cannot do what my previous example of HydrogenPro in Norway and their 8 years of capacity already sold. So yo you I would ask as a large business like Mitsubishi, would you wait 8 years ? No is the answer but at this very moment HydroPro don't have anywhere near capacity. They will build out capacity within 2 years and I guess keep selling their soul to china where most of that build up of supply will happen. Hope the Russia China alliance has nothing to say about that and IP theft ??? I wouldn't touch China with my previous IP heavy Versarien creating many new nano products China has tried to steal, control and reduce VRS's capabilities unless giving away rights within China. So Nel getting SO MANY contract wins in the US is fine for me.
3 - From the other point of view eg Nikola and 700 fuelling stations. They have Nel and the multi user nozzel going in to their partners service stations BUT most importantly they are to MAKE HUBS so any future deal with Nel would be based in one location and a bulk order of high capacity single locations to create the "HUB & SPOKE" model of supply. So bulk storage of hydrogen gas. Nel has other companies that make and supply remote access hydtogen volume.
Interesting Hexagon Agility is expanding their factory in Hampshire ? Why there ?
Hexagon Agility - a Nel company in the US is also very active. Make of that remote supply as you will.
The only thing that Nel hydrogen can do is hit maximum capacity. Once done and I think like the example I posted about HydrogenPro expansion for 8 years worth of capacity will be that "ketchup" moment the CEO Jon Andre Lokke interview points out very clearly.
Nel can open up TWO more lines at Heroya fully auto factory. Now line one has been running for 4 months and building up from new to full production, I would guess that the CAD design which created the extra 3rd line will have had its nuts and bolts tightened up ready for Q1-2 2023.
Line 2 will be being oiled up right now ready for Q2-3 full throttle opening this summer !!!
Now just how many electrolysers or in the US electrolyZers will the world need this year ?
A lot of fish to fry - fist bump CEO Mr Lokke.
None of these "big contracts" will ever go solely to nel.
Too much of a risk for the customer, for the near future, based on an evident lack of large-project management experience. Nel will have to grow substiantially (300 odd employees?) in order to catch and fry those big fish.
I see consortiums, along with mergers of some sorts, in the near future get pieces of that big business action.
That’s really interesting and very exciting. Nel clearly a different beast. Fingers crossed for results next week
Here is another example.
Ceres soars on china deal 25% today.
30m in JV deal. 30m lol.
Nel and Nikola looking at USD$800 million ONE PROJECT
Nel Hydrogen February 2022.
BUT " CAN WE DO IT " well they only have 1GW of production capacity ???
They have apparently sold their soul.
"The company claimed in results released last week that it has 66 active projects in its pipeline with an average size of 124MW saying that the main uses are for producing ammonia, metal, refineries and power to gas. That amounts to a pipeline of some 8.2 GW, substantially ahead of any but the largest electrolysis companies, and given that it is only on track to introduce manufacturing facilities of 1 GW in the coming year or so, that represents 8 years of production. No-one will wait that long, so on the back of this type of deal from Mitsubishi, it will be looking for funds to build out more aggressively. It is already negotiating on manufacturing sites in Europe, the US and India."
Nel have 3 factories already 1 US, 2 Denmark and looking at a straight PEM Factory in central EU.
Nel turned down a huge AMMONIA project a few hundred metres away in heroya right near to the electrolyser factory. Nel are fitting 5mw electrolyser in Q2 but still turned them down.
Quote from the CEO in my direct question ...
"Bigger fish to fry".
Nel cannot do it all. HydrogenPro are selling upfront for 8 YEARS can they really do it ? They need big business and have it.
Nel already have the next TESLA , a project whichbis looking to supply 30% of SPAIN"s electricity WOW and Everfuel who are rolling out the hydrogen infrastructure across Europe. Nel also have Hexagon Composites, Agility, Purus and Orsted to name just a few.
As for projects to date ? HydrogenPro have 66.
My post regarding what NEL has was over 100...
so do not feel down along with the share price.
This will go big.
NIKOLA USD$800M
EVERFUEL USD$100M
IBERDROLA USD$800M
3 projects only not messing about with 50m to Mitsubishi and shipping production and soul to China. Big mistake.
MO
Agreeing with you here and good to see you haven’t left the NEL forum. Major oil is for sure be eying-up and salivating over the Hydrogen market because there are fortunes to be made and, not least, to avoid windfall taxes from governments under pressure to punish FF companies who will make another load during the transition to cleaner fuels. Am slightly wondering why NEL SP isn’t reflecting the near future (almost certain) reality.

PS: it’s Oxford, not Cambridge, where the Fusion masterclass is happening
https://www.europeanfiles.eu/environment/hydrogen-fusion-the-way-to-a-new-energy-future
I know this indicates hydrogen is created through the process of fusion, but what powers the energy process to start with?
I am on it. RR r&d is worth researching with mini local city reactors within 5 years. RR in Derby , so am I, well in the area ;-)))
Nano too worth looking at as a tip. Graphene but the proper high grade actual graphene not high grade graphite. The diff is huge but many Co's suggest not, but it is.
Hi MO, agree Nel would be a snip for big Oil. I'd love to understand what Clearstream bankings strategy is for Nel ( their biggest shareholders I think)
However the hydrogen produced by electrolysers isn't suitable for fusion I don't think
