Toneman. If you were leaving a company had 2 million shares probably up 200% and Putin is getting ready to cause trouble, inflation hitting hard plus covid isnt over with doubts about many things, would you risk losing £250,000+ in the swing of his profits alone ?
Whats to say his new position doesnt earn as a pay packet more ? So why risk holding those 1 million shares. I 100% dont blame him, every day all he will do is assess NEL risk on every decission. Cant be easy at the mo with cvd & inflation and movement of trade.
Is this because the electric price will go up as ppl are “encouraged “ away from gas? All the spare electricity will be used to charge up all the EV cars?
I realise the power situation is a very complicated situation but hikes cost will have ( maybe a short term) influence??
I see credit suisse has slashed target price on ITM to £2.35 citing pricing power weakness. I presume this is having a knock on effect at Nel. Feel I'm missing something here.... all the geopolitical stars are aligned in hydrogens favour and yet the share price remains weak
It does make me wonder a bit about why he wouldn't hold onto them all for another couple of years and (I would hope) double their value. Also he wouldn't be CEO then so it perhaps wouldn't be considered significant. As he's remaining on the board I guess the regulations might still demand that it be announced like today.
I didn't see any other related RNS so I expect his sale is not related to having to purchase a shed-load of options before they expire. I guess everyone's entitled to extract profits whenever they like. I know he's earned it, but the decision just doesn't seem quite right.
10 Million shares BOUGHT after close !
If you look at the sell / buy prices at :-
17:19:08 12.89177 300,000 Unknown* 4m O
17:19:08 12.85084 8,535Unknown 109.68k O
Clear that NOK12.85 is a sell at the exact same second @NOK12.89 A 4M BUY.
Later another 4m buy and the others you can basically work out that another 2.5m are buys.
So is the incoming CEO buying up cheap and holding 10m @ NOK approx 12.90 ?
No but some investors have been buying up and as I say up to NOK 15.00 these are cheap. Imho.
Other views apply so read this forum.
Note Nikola have done a deal for EV charging network , teehee.
Note Nikola have already a deal for FCEV hydrogen charging network with NEL... Not heard a thing since early last year.
Ssssssh , don't tell anyone ;-))))
He is leaving the CEO position in April BUT still holds 1m shares. I'd take that. He has been with Nel for 6 1/2 years and is staying on the board of directors.
He just wants to move to a broader role within Europe and within the energy sector. I dont blame him tbh. With $7.2BILLION in the TOP 20 projects out of 1,000 projects and moving the order book from $3Billion Jan 21 to $12BILLION in 12 months its not like you can say he hadn't deserved his chance to influence ?
(Oslo, 18 February 2022) Jon André Løkke, CEO of Nel ASA (“Nel”) has today sold 1,000,000 shares in Nel at an average price of NOK 12.8643 per share. After the transaction, Mr. Løkke holds 1,000,000 shares in Nel.
Valid points. Thanks for posting. Shame people dont post this info on a more regular occasion.
Wonder how Tesla got to $1000 dollars a share when we all know they borrowed most of their money ?
Dont get me wrong the points raised are valid but this is a buy and hold share. I bought back in 2019 and will look to exit on my 55th birthday, 2025.
Just when the UK will be literally cooking on gas & hydrogen mix. See nel & scotland link.
What the price £1 approx depending on the month you buy. Rather have these than a lottery ticket which costs £2
Very bullish comments on here recently. Whilst I’m a supporter, what people are “missing” is that NEL is only producing revenue of c£20m per quarter. Its mcap is c£1.5bn, and to justify that valuation on a traditional PE basis would need about £600m sales pa, IMO. That’s 600m x 20% margin x PE 12.5. Or alternatively, sell 1.2GW annually at £500k per MW. NEL is a long way from that at the moment, despite the 12GW “pipeline”, which is actually just a list of projects that the company can bid for, and which in any case would be fulfilled over a number of years. New factories will ensure it loses money for many more years yet. I recognise that first mover advantage and establishing market leadership can be a reason for seeing beyond the above points.
$7.2 BILLION in the TOP 20 PROJECTS !!!
By my working :-
Nikola =$1.4 Billion
Everfuel = €200m
IBERDROLA = €800M
So thats approx €2 BILLION. €5 BILLION in the other 17 projects.
US Nuclear
Sweden Steel
Netherlands Port
Orsted Danish offshore
Germany Steel.
Plenty more to go at but most importantly of all is the speed of scale up.
They have taken longer than I had thought to tweak up Heroya Fully automated world class factory.
Why ? Well I think a clue is in the automisation of the oncoming US GIGA Factory away from the old Proton site at Wallingford. This is yet another ramp up towards domination of supply in the US.
Europe is also getting a new GIGA FACTORY , my guess Germany.
BOTH new factories will be tailored to the current slow auditing of every process within Heroya to ENSURE the new builds will be bang on track first time out. Its looking like although it is world class and first of its kind , Heroya is ultimately a test facility for global factory print run.
ASIA and Middle EAST also being looked at.
Like Musk with his futuristic plans 3-4 years ago, we all laughed at building a car in one moulded piece. Well thats where he is going to get the costs down.
Both NELS new US & EU Giga factories will make BOTH PEM & ALKALINE Electrolysers. Again , nobody doing this or even close to it !
2025 $1.5kg per unit. It will be achieved. Bang on my retirement date.
CAPEX & OPEX of all business being actively brought down for the cast majority of projects - again there is nobody really doing this. Most have set costs to production , not such scaleability of production line to workout and fit in with an IKEA making model type of supply.
2mw to 800mw projects all on the table.
Much much more in the detail than just US$12BILLION order book RAS.
As always a stonking buy. Let it go down , buy these lows imho up to NOK 15.00.
Hope it goes to NOK 5.00 - it will not but fingers crossed, I'd be buying all I could.
My target is only more solid at NOK45-50.
Let Heroya work up a sweat hopefully fully unchained in the next months. Then lets see just how many orders get converted to supply ;-)))
Extremely happy. DYOR.
Backspace, in this high inflation pre war market with the EU about to kick off on UK v EU imports exports the sp will be volitile so there will be many false flags ( seemed a topical ref point ) but no anything could happen to the sp.
Hi MO,
I'm not sure what else there's to say. The key details as discussed was the potential pipeline which is fantastic. I helped myself to some more. They are a steal
I cannot believe nobody has posted anything on here today with the blocks of news from Q4 results ?
Highest closing price for a month.
@nelhydrogen @jonandrelokke Growth globally sounds easy but any large global leader in any industry needs solid foundations. ?????? to "all" Nel board members for actively putting these strong initial points of company base in place. Forward thinking boring BUT necessery US$12B
As others have alluded to ... the pipeline here is the key. It's inconceivable they won't convert at least 1/3 of these (industry average). It's quite conceivable to convert 50% . The company clearly has faith in their products and frankly they are the only manufacturer who can at produce at scsle.ITM are about 18/12 behind and from my understanding don't have the potential manufacturing capacity of Nel ( this is a judgement not a face)
My only concern regarding Nel... is what am I missing? Why are institutional investors thinking so differently? Then again I was flabbergasted when Shell hit £9 and Bp went sub £2... I filled my boots and just sold. They were a screaming buy as was Lloyds sub 30p (still holding). So despite the resources they have .. analysts miss stuff. My guess is they are missing here
Most hydrogen down today anyway.
Would of liked to have seen numbers on capacity / production and Nikola , Everfuel & Iberdrola. Hmmm.
But with Russia, new high inflation it is a bad day for any news tbh.
Still you all know my feelings , its a stonking buy.
SHELL & BP made how much profit this Q4 ???
Cough cough ..... No brainer if they come to the door.
US$. 12 BILLION !!!
As for Nuclear NEL hydrogen & US DOE already working on Nine Mile Point hydrogen supply BY NEL !
NEL HYDROGEN $6B NOW $12BILLION in 1 QUARTER .... need I say anymore about the potential of hydrogen.
I wonder when people will get just HOW BIG NEL Hydrogen already is ???
Took me a moment to realise the power genration plans being discussed there.
Hinckley Point C only produces 3.2Gw - wow.
The potential is enormous here.
Share price unmoved. Tight margins offsetting order book maybe?
Pipeline as outlined by MO .. potential 12 B US. Assuming 1/3 of pipeline becomes a firm order that's still v encouraging
NEL HYDROGEN $6B NOW $12BILLION in 1 QUARTER .... need I say anymore about the potential of hydrogen
In their presentation Nel just discussed their plan for 10GW of factory production. 4GW in USA, 4GW in Europe and 2GW in Asia.
we outlined our growth strategy towards 2025 where investments in people and organization were key to target the all-time-high pipeline of projects across the globe.
Started the Q4 results. First main part before the nuts & bolts.
It is about 2025.
The orderbook , yes it would be lovely to have the cash in hand of the orders and that they are filled but a DOUBLING OF THE ORDER BOOK IN 3 MONTHS !!!
FFS = WOW USD$12 BILLION ORDER BOOK up by USD$6 BILLION.
