Father Ted, the best way to get started I would say is to watch a few YouTube videos on investing in crypto currencies.
Also you can open a Coinbase account and just buy a bit and see how it goes. Like I said in Nuog BB I have only a small bit invested. 250£ over 3 coins the most being in litecoin. Good luck with your crypto journey. NennyB

Automation. Thanks for sharing that article - very interesting. See the whole crypto market is picking up after the Chinese fiasco, well should be all out the way by the end of the month.

The Chinese have brought the whole cryptocurrency market down, I hope once they are out of it at the end of the month the market will start to pick up. Fingers crossed

Bitcoin has been having a good time over the last few days, it getting close to the $6,000 mark. That's quite a recovery from the recent drop below $3,000.
Anyone who has bought in on the drop are laughing.

Good morning all. I use the Tline the exponential moving average EMA SET TO 8 the blue line on my chart s to trade shares forex commodities and indices.
bitcoin is essentially forex as it is expressed against the USD on IG's spread betting platform.

on 11 Sept i took out four separate 1 quid a pip long trades on bitcoin without stop losses in place, not recommended. it subsequently crashed to 2900 odd which I could do nothing about for health reasons. luckily it has recovered and those trades are now 6k in profit see chart below one month later.

although bitcoin is in a long term bull run it is subject to retracements so buying the dips could be a good strategy but one should use stop losses imo. i have been lucky but was losing in excess of 4k when it crashed.

in conclusion try using the T line for entry and exit try buying the dips.

see my chat bboard CHARTS T LINE TIPS INlse's general chat board 3rd blogg for free utube link for 1 hour webinar explaining rationale of T line.

Apologies. here is the link to my 4 hour chart of bitcoin.

http://content.screencast.com/users/LEFKOSIA/folders/Default/media/5c6946af-187f-4654-a749-d35d62425c37/Bitcoin%20(USD)_20171012_17.01%20(1).png

for the more conservative approach one could use the ema54, the brown line for entry and close below T line for exit.

there are numerous buy the dip opportunities the best ones, 2, at about 3600 after the crash.
glit always

BTW one can also use the T line and EMA54 to short bitcoin to increase profits. check out the chart but the real money is in going long crystalising paper profits and then going back in by buying the dips.

Lefkosia, well done on your Bitcoin trade and thanks for posting the charts.
I bought my cryptocurrency on Coinbase and holding them there for a while, don't think I got such strong nerves to buy them by CFD or Spread Betting, its just volatile for my liking.

Apparently BTC could be 10,000$ soon? Well that would be nice.
Am not too good at reading the charts, what's your price predictions for Bitcoin by the end of the year please?

LEFKOSIA

bitcoin monthly chart to illustrate its fantastic bull run BUT also to be aware of the risks like September's crash, which is why stop losses are so important. i was lucky.

weekly chart to illustrate the one caveat to following the T line also to buying the dip, 5 dip opportunities on the weekly.

both charts show that the lucky ones who went long at 260 or lower are laughing all the way to the bank
