Maybe sell in May is a myth http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/investing/article-2326279/Sell-May-away-It-better-hold-say-stock-market-analysts.html (but you are right I was lucky, I have done more bad moves, selling at the wrong time than well timed sells but at least I am in profit)

You lucky devil, but well done. It seems that we are having a completely different fortune for this time of the year. So far, there is no sign of "sell in May and go away" phenomenon yet. It was also Friday yesterday but it went up as the same! Can't really complain.

as a doom monger, I will be back. But I moved my profit from Tesco into AV. at c£3.02 a share, so enjoying the ride there at the moment
