Not sure why we are going down today considering the the massive £5.2m buy.? Maybe the bad news about BAE has pulled us down as well? Pretty happy the companies share scheme monthly buy has missed the big peak of two weeks back though! Will we see under 8.00 again?

A good price to get into a solid company, my ISA will enjoy the stability it offers.

Maybe stocks like these will be seen as 'safe heavens in the coming years as we negotiate Brexit? The company has ramped up its push into the global markets, I suspect partly to offset any Brexit effect. As you say Babcock looks solid..quietly building it order books, increasing revenue, decreasing debt, increasing DIV's and making good progress into becoming a well known, well respected and well manged company. I think we will see Babcock starting to climb the FTSE 100 soon.

The stock market has been a casino of late, over-reactions, sectors simply unliked etc and Babcock has suffered from the fact that companies in the same support area have been less well run and thus less successful - to me, they seem unspectacular but refreshingly solid and, slowly probably, they'll be a £10+ share again, within hopefully a couple of years?
20 Sep '17PauldarkLift off!846.50Strong Buy
The markets have finally noticed! Babcock are looking pretty good...with or without Brexit. Next contracts to be won (that i have any understanding of ), will be the Type 45 refits and the Type 31 builds. Hopefully over the next couple of years, the level of debt will be substantially reduced and we can have some tasty dividend increases. All good in the hood.
