Afternoon All. What fantastic news. I woke up from my lunchtime nap and could not believe my eyes. I have just sold my Barclays shares at a profit of just over £54k having held them for just two weeks!! Nice work if you can get it. Sorry if I appear to be gloating but just on a very big high at the moment. I thought I had made a very big mistake abandoning RBS for Barclays for the first time but they came good literally in the last couple of hours. My luck is bound to run out at some stage so hopefully this is it for me trading shares. I said that last time though. For the long termers for what my opinion is worth I genuinely feel all the bank shares will be on an up leading to the General Election. I just don't want to risk my capital or get greedy. Good luck everybody. I am taking my Mrs out for a few drinks and a meal tonight . She has offered to drive so I don't want to miss out.
JJSS, thanks & maybe you're right, or maybe both of us will be but over different timeframes. What I do know is that BARC faces a hell of a lot of litigation over coming months, only some of which has been provided for. When that comes to the forefront again, I anticipate BARC seeing more selling again from traders taking profits.
Naturally, I wish you the best of luck with RBS. I think your call may prove to be a VG one.
Actually, Jack , I opened a few more shorts on RBS, the latest at 388.51, 100 points. Hopefully to average down the previous low entry. I debate shorting Barclays too. IMO, if you had held to your short, you may see the day of light if not today, some time next week. It's unlikely to be a U-turn.GL
