Agree, though I think market conditions in the Spring will be very different from now. GL

Three way coilition , That'll be UKIP the GREEN party and another , lol. ...a public sale with a decent discount might have got him a few votes but , like Lloyds , market conditions are against it just now .Not sure that announcing dates for a future sale will help all that much although I think your right about some kind of statement being made . Redeeming the DAS will cost around 2 billion , make a big hole in their profits but then again they have had a big improvement in impairments , so who knows . It may well happen in 2015 , still think it's likely to be early 2016 before dividends restart . ATB .

My idea of a 'big announcement' relates to RBS. My guess is that he will at least announce dates for the sell back along with some figures to show how good a deal it has been. I don't argue about the election, it could well end up with a three way coalition. Now wouldn't that be fun?

Think he'll need all the help he can get , according to the bookies. In general election terms , what would you class as a big announcement ?

I think GO will want all the help he can get for the election. Quiet now but six months ahead just watch what happens with by-elections, etc.. I reckon he will be keen to make a big announcement.

Don't hold your breath Johnny , until the DAS situation has been resolved dividends are unlikely .The bank has reached agreement on purchasing the DAS but have until Jan 2016 before incurring any penalties . , Could happen before the next election but at the moment they don't seem to be in any particular hurry . The RNS on the 9th Apr . has all the information .
