Interesting Chris, not sure on their fleet figures , UK was a little bit less than 39 currently i think, but if you take in to account Condor and your possibly pushing 75 ish ? , Trent, someone else, may confirm that ? Still fairly positive :-)
well, chrishutch, this is the only thing that could possibly worrying me (if it will cóntinue): everybody and their dog are well aware of TCG's ongoing progress in their transformation. Majority of analysts say "buy" with - from today's perspective - sky-high price predictions. And nobody seems to care. This is the one clear sign, we're really in shambles. If everyone shouts "buy" and noone does: okay, than it can only get better... Here's hoping. GLA!
Thomas Cook (LSE: TCG) operates 39 aircraft and transports 6.9 million passengers each year and, as with its two rivals, has considerable growth potential. Certainly, Thomas Cook is recovering from a number of difficult years and is only due to return to profitability this year. However, it continues to offer long-term potential. For instance, EPS is due to rise by 50% next year, while the current share price does not appear to reflect this, since shares in the company trade on a P/E of just 11.4. While any company that has been loss-making for three years is inherently riskier than those that haven’t, Thomas Cook could prove to be a strong long-term play and see its share price rise so long as it delivers on its optimistic growth forecasts. Hi Farrugia1967, guess I know, how it feels. I have "lost" even more than you, but only in the books so far... Then again, my remaining TCG-earnings do cover far more than any of my other losses still :-) There'll be a time when we'll be rewarded for our patience. After all, it's not that fundamentals have collapsed like they did under Manny FN. So keep cool, stay long, enjoy life! GLA!
Look on the bright, only three more days to go and we will have another weekend of no further reductions in our SP!!!!!
As you say it's becoming very tedious seeing your long term gains slowly and consistently draining away on a daily basis!!!
We could all do with just a little news from our BOD, now achieved 50k reduction in the value since the high of 1.89, every day I keep telling myself it will start to creep back up slowly and as you've rightly pointed out 35 times during the 40 last 40 days I've been completely wrong, it's a bad case of my hart ruling my head I'm afraid!!!!!!
But like many here I know it will return, it's just a matter of when?
Keeping faith for now ( that will cost me another 10k no doubt)
I thought my loses were bad enough, TCG has been devalued by almost £1Billion or £955.347 million give or take a few shillings :(
Come on Harriet give us something, anything!!!!!!!!
Having visited 4 local TCG/Cooperative Travel Shops in the last 3 weeks - spoke to 3 managers - each gave the impression that "holiday sales" have increased - but world cup did slow business down - suspect the 31st update will be ok but no sparkle!!
I agree, but how the hell can you get a bounce when as soon as the slightest show of green appears on the screen it denotes "sell it Quick time".Look at the sells in the last five mins, has anyone got any trust in this share overnight? I am beginning to think not. Is it now 35 days down out of the last 40 traded?makes you think, is it worthwhile enduring the pain any longer?
