TCG has had a good run....

Pi's are getting itchy feet after the superb rise to over 185p. But i think this is a good entry point at 134p. Harriet is bound to spring some near term surprises and we'll be back up near 200p

off topic....vote for fairness - shorting

Expedia bid for wotfi
7 Jul '14
Us online travel agent Expedia has made a 700m offer for Wotif, an Australian version of itself. Nice! Be good to get some M&A action on TC.. And I like, our new website so if we do get to 50% online sales and profits expected then we should be so much higher than we are it's silly. Wotif is not worth 700m or 25% of TC in my view

RE: Disappointing drop this morning

Surprising lack of interest in Tc it seems these days.. I still think we're only a few IMS or results away from cracking 190.. 2015 IMO.. I guess folk want to see more evidence before taking the plunge .. Still feels like risk to the upside.. I will be adding here once one of our 'others' has had its AGM I think.. Take some loss and move some back here for the IMS (no doubt lose again lol)

RE: Refinancing
6 Jul '14
Without ape hands:
As HG mentioned in last update, they should be able to borrow in debt mkts at lower interest cost than we pay out on current bonds. The 2015, 2017 and 2020 bond coupons are 6.75% 7.75% and 7.75%'respectively., and are trading at a 4,10,10% premium respectively so market is implying we should be able to refinance at sub 7% long term and closer to high 5% short term. Given the interest costs are quite high for TC even last year at 150mn for the year vs 120 man the year prior, it is now important plank of her remaining strategy to improve profits, I believe. Well she said as such herself, so she's looking at it. I hope that's announced at next interim management statement in a few weeks.. Should provide some renewed interest in the co along with any hint of improved trading, or at least confirm that it isn't dropping off as feared.. Looking good for rise out of 130s this week and hopefully 150s by IMS

With increased passenger numbers being post by Easyjet and Ryanair reinforce my belief that customer confidence has returned. The challenge for TCG is that hey have captured this evident increased demand at the right price
I parked my car at Manchester airport two weeks ago and the long stay parks were nearly full to capacity and T3 was heaving. People are definitely going on holidays - lets hope its with TCG. I hope that with an uplift in summer bookings and targeted margins being achieved with a good story at Q3 on the continuing transformation this share price will move again in the right direction

3 Jul '14
Very happy to see this close above 135! This indicates to me that it should start to head north now. 141 next then 150 and 160 hopefully back up to where it belongs 180+.

I am off on holiday from Saturday so leaving tcg in your hands, take care of my baby :-).

Positive news - Bloomberg

Ryanair to Report ‘Very Strong’ Traffic Amid Turnaround

Ryanair Holdings Plc (RYA) Chief Executive Officer Michael O’Leary said June traffic grew “very strongly” as Europe’s biggest discount carrier ramps up efforts to deliver a more customer-friendly service.

Ryanair climbed almost 25 cents, or 3.6 percent, to 7.09 euros, the biggest gain since May 19, after O’Leary’s comments on Bloomberg Television today. The company will report its traffic figures for last month tomorrow, it said separately.

Any direct translation, hope so!
