"but to reduce the value of a large, "stable" company by one quarter in a few weeks to me seems quite an achievement, and not a good one."
Well, to be fair, she did raise the share price of company , who's future was in the balance, from 11 or 12p up to 189.70 and that was quite an achievement too. How much of that was based on the power of Ms Green's golden tongue (Which appears to have dulled slightly of late). What is this company really worth?
I'm not here to rubbish the share price, and maybe TCG can pull its socks up, but it looks like a long climb on one engine to me.
For the time being I'm staying in, but 200p looks a long long (long) way off.
I've been in since 12p and topped up. I need this cash a bit too much. I sold a third at 165p and now sold the remaining at 141p. Still managed to turn walk away with nearly £15k profit. However I am not prepared to watch share devalue any further. I am NOT a deramper. Simply a fella who has lost BIG with RBS in the past. I will leave money in share dealing account so I can get back in quickly if needs be. It's been a pleasure refreshing this chat page since 2012 but I am out for now. GLA
Someone with a bit more experience please tell me this is just a down day, with compensation stories, and sector weakness dragging us down right? hopefully we will bounce straight back up right otherwise I only have England winning this World Cup to look forward to.
santa-anna as in the case with the customer diagnosed with cancer perhaps some discretion could have put in place in these circumstances. Toshack as for your case then it's really tough luck. lt's not only TCG that apply these charges. I and another member of my family have had charges thrown at us for similar reasons. My mother's was with TUI and mine was with the ever popular Ryanair!!. So most if not all the travel companies are the same
I can see that the market is down, and that this sector is down more than most, but WHEN will our illustrious leader start "leaking" a little positive news to stop/reverse this current plummet in share price? Some have suggested, on here, that her shine has dulled, but to reduce the value of a large, "stable" company by one quarter in a few weeks to me seems quite an achievement, and not a good one. I'm sure some will suggest, for this weeks poor performance, that it's Iraq, but from memory, it's not known for budget all inclusives catering for TC's mass market.
HG has sold off the family silver, reduced staff terms and conditions (for those still employed), closed the shops and even counted the paper-clips. Now that's done, what's next?
New aircraft sitting on the ground with no crews to fly them. Renting capacity from other aircraft operators (££££££). I could go on but we can see how things stand from the share price. TCG nicking customers from the higher end segments? How many? And can they retain those customers?
I was happy to join in with the general wave of sentiment that followed in the wake of HG's appointment and ruthless cost cutting whilst accepting that it would all come to tragic end when people stopped believing, I still bought in ahead of the latest financial report, thinking that I could squeeze one last profit out of TCG but I think the party may be over.
