And I DON'T do religion, or charity ! (I mean I've never founded one, as some here claim, or participate actively in charitable events like round the world runs or swallowing bees for the poor lil children). Just in case you thought I'd gone soft, lol (Yeah make what you want of that one, lol). Can't wait to catch up on the abuse tomorrow, lol. I will be back.

I'll never be as wealthy as some on here claim to be, but we live comfortably, and with pensions, when they start, (just a hint there that I'm not THAT old, lol), we should have enough to get by. No cruises, anything like that, and no big fancy car (we really do have a punto, andy.p should appreciate that one in the morning, lol !)

Full time, yes, lol, professional ? My losses would say 'hell no'. Lol. Like you Isengard7, I try to learn as much as I can as I go along (16 years now, and still a lot to learn). Then there's the 'shenanigens' lol that the likes of you and me will never be privy to.

I'm not invested in this one so can (in my view only of course) see the 'whole picture' (well, as much as anyone could without really knowing that's going on inside the various camps involved). For example, are the bondholders hedged ? I honestly don't know, but they are professionals, not gamblers, so my strong guess is yes. Do they have a hundred percent hedge ? I don't know, I guess that depends on the individual holder, or fund, or syndicate or whatever. But to assume that by bringing down a company, shareholders will also bring down the bondholders, I think that was, and is, a very dangerous assumption. I just want people (those who are prepared to, anyways), that the danger is there when deciding which way to vote. After all, if you look at the number of companies that have 'gone under' in the past year alone, if all those bondholders were wiped out too, would there be any bondholders left ? lol.

GG,

I had a feeling you may be a full time investor or professional investor?

It has to be said that you have been calling it right so far. I just hope that there is something going on in the background that you aren't aware of that can get us out of this mess. I have often been very close to selling up and each time there has always been a steady stream of buys picking up the sold shares. For months there have been Automatic buys of smallish amounts all adding up. I read that the small Automatic buys are often someone buying in stealthily. I've managed to convince myself that the General, who spent so much buying just 7% and had a big bank buying Afren up last year, was behind it and would eventually put in a bid for the rest and give me a small profit.
I'm still hopeful but less so now.

I think 25% of the shares in issue is about 275 million ? I think I got the zeroes right, lol, it's late though.
