Nice to see a holder thinking more laterally instead of the usual shorter/MM/deramper garbage. OPEC have been sneakily increasing production to levels over 30m. But who will crack first? Will OPEC implode due to countries such as Venezuela or US output drop off, only to bounce back when oil goes back up. All very interesting, and a lot of conspiracy theories being thrown around, each as likely as the next.
I find the current drop most depressing but i can at least see why it is happening, and short of bonanza production figures will probably continue. Real shame as in the right climate we would be flying as i believe NR could and would produce more if the current climate was different and WTI was in high 60's / early 70's. Still if this drops lower it does present an unexpected opportunity to lower averages and then wait for all these negatives to unwind later in the year. Not sure what price it may land at, thats the problem !
Exactly NTJJ. Depends on the linearity of the pressure vs choke dia, and viscosity as if you open the choke too much, production will decrease due to hydrostatic pressure build up. Its all about finding that sweet spot.
