Dawson's Fleet

It appears Dawson's has a fleet of over 2000 vehicles of different sizes and types including coaches...... so this could be a good regular order over the years to come. How big a leap would it be for Optare to look into the market for coaches when were in profit and growing ever bigger?

They are Solos ... looking at the Stagecoach order which was smaller ... they are about £100k a piece ... so nrearer £5m.
Good order ... Dawsons are a good company to get in bed with ... but it will be bread and butter models on the whole ... no great premiums here

i think the solos sell for about £100000 each the other order was for versa which are more money . but still great news

Don't forget that Optare Bonito makes Scottish début at APSE Show today, what a way to set out the stall when introducing a new product.
This coupled with today's announcement has got to signal the start of the long term future for Optare.

10 million looks about right, market cap of 12 mil, so a big order + 20 buses from last rns.

Certainly improves the order book and puts us on track for a record breaking year. Director buys would underpin the progress being made, that's for sure.

Have just looked at previous orders from councils & cost looks like just over £200,000 per bus so am I right in reading and thinking that this is worth £10 million to Optare??
