RNS regarding payments starting in Sep. As I recall it didn't give any details as to when in Sep payments would happen, or how much they were going to cough up. That's a tough one to swallow and the initial euphoria soon dissipated and the share dropped. If they'd have gone firm on a figure and definite date I'd have felt a bit more warm and fuzzy but, right now the sceptic in me is holding court. I truly hope they don't spout some BS when Sep comes or I really think it'll be curtains for us. I hope I'm in a position to quote Wellington after Waterloo and not Bonaparte. GLA

They also assume no one will bid or farm
Indeed being short would scare me a lot
However i do t think many really are
The risk reward is dire

'Shell could take an interest in Kurdistan, but would want to see the back of the current MNR Chief first'
Are you a plant for Shell? would that explain your posts against corruption/KRG of the past few months?

Its times like this....

When I remember what my hero Alan Farlay is always on about in his classic " Swing Traders Bible" it goes like this ..

"You need to figure out , right now, which side of the market has the biggest target" i.e which side of the market is the most vulnerable.

Right now its the bears ....because they are assuming that the KRG will not pay up this time because they never have in the past.

Good luck with that trade :)

Jurisdiction to contract

Thanks DF /CJ I'll just call. Mg. capital kuok and all the IOC doing due diligence to highlight how stupid they are wasting their time investing or considering buying the whole show.

I'm sure they will be thrilled with your (pretentious) and thoroughly one (down) sided insights.

Corruption at the MNR ????

No **** Sherlock

Those naive oil majors will never have thought it

Not.

But you sure as hell batter this investment with high level guff

So credit where it's due.

The issues PI's have to get their heads round are the PSC contracts..So far the KRG MNR as proved the contracts are not abided to..Example Dana Gas Crescent Petroleum.

BIR have expired on most PSC's
Payment was questioned many times...With plus $450 million sitting in Halkbank, there is no reason not to pay IOC's.

If the MNR was serious and meant to honour the PSC and oil payments they would have the UN administer all Oil revenue out of Kurdistan and pay the IOC's..The DFI account in New York is there for use...Now the KRG MNR as not had an intention of paying IOC ' as it as not used this route, and this route actually would give the KRG MNR some credibility , it would also help Kurd citizens.

Can anyone answer this simple question, as Chia Surkhu been classed as a Commercail discovery ?, is it on line to produce....Also when was Khalakan Block declared as a commercial discovery?

If posters imply monies owed are not relevant and payments are not as well, then I suggest they invest in fresh air...THe who post such dribble have no idea at all...Even XOM have stated they want to see IOC's paid..Shell told the KRG MNR where to go in 2011 and did so in 2007 as well...Shell could take an interest in Kurdistan, but would want to see the back of the current MNR Chief first

"Didn't they say at the AGM that they'd been paid for every barrel shipped in H1?"

they did, but let's not get this in the way of a shorting opportunity!

"It's recoverable oil the IOC want"
indeed which isn't mutually exclusive with payments for this oil.
the trouble is pretend that only the lesser of the two is the most important.
Until the promised payment in September, there is plenty of time for the shorters to try and walk it down I guess

Please read all my posts. Been in since 2012. Not sold and am way under. I'm afraid I'm not looking through rose tinted glasses like Many on here. I'd like to get my average back & then I'm off, if that ever happens. But I say what I feel. Now I think it's all about that MONEY BOX!
