Are you mad? Of course we are desperate for cash. £100m is peanuts in this game. Drilling producing trucking security wages consultants bribes etc etc etc etc. we pay ALL the time. We should have negotiated for weekly payments or no oil. Time for hard ball. Oh and do I think the oil minister is bent? What you gonna do? Report me to "the authorities". Surely the KRG wouldn't have enough money for the legal costs of the case? Unless of course they had salted away some wealth saved by not paying their debts? I suppose they could have a look under a few floorboards for that eh? We CANT carry on like this - whatever glossy spin you put on our limited resources. Tsshh

You won't have to read too much of the current Code to see the position regarding Bermuda.

Hi Mick. Premium listed companies on lse have to comply with UK CG code, but Standard listed ones like GKP & Genel don't, for whatever reason.

I'm not up to speed on the tax issues so can't really comment, but what you say sounds as if it could be relevant - some bedtime reading for me :)

How is the 650,000 made up? 550,000 to ICG and 100,000 to pay oilers. So much from kirkuk and how much from the oilers, So my question to you guys in the know is what percentage of the extra 100,000 is produced by gkp. If its 20% say, then we would be entitled to 20000bpd worth of money? Anyone know

We touched on this before. I confess I don't understand why GKP should not have to comply with UK governance, one thing that struck me after out last exchange is that exempt companies in Bermuda lose tax exempt status next year. That may drive a desire to move tax residence or sell off assets this year..
