Weekend Listening
Fri 17:40
Good day today. Finished up 4.35%. Looks like (to me) we have found the bottom as we have been trading along this range 1.05p - 1.2p for a number of weeks. Surely anticipation will only build from here on the run up to the well reopening?

For those who missed it here last night here is the link to the Oil Search - Alaska Strategy Seminar webcast. It also includes a talk from Bill Armstrong from Armstrong Oil & Gas. Its a very good insight to the details and rationale behind the Oil Search deal of $400M for their part of Armstrongs assets - a 25% share of 500M barrels. This webinar will certainly get some thoughts going about what 88 Energy's assists could be potentially worth. Sorry for the repost but I think it is worth posting again for those who missed it.

Also below are some thoughts from me from listening to the webcast last night:

Post 1
Very interesting. It seems the price of the Armstrong & Oil Search transaction was agreed when oil was trading at its lows. Bill Armstrong says at the time he was expecting Oil Search to offer 'sh*t load more' than what they did.
Peter Botten Managing Director of Oil Search called 'Bill a gentlemen' because he kept to his word on the transaction price despite oil prices since rising.
This bodes well for 88E as from the sounds of it the $400m transaction price was on the low side as it was agreed during the times of oil prices being at the bottom. I wonder what that $400m would be worth today with oil at over $60?

Wow! Fascinating! I urge all 88E shareholders to listen to this webcast. Im only part way through but listen from 43:25.
Keiran Wulff - Executive General Manager of Oil Search says 'Bill Armstrong had a number of other options and he genuinely did. When Peter (MD of Oil Search) and Bill shook hands in Sydney oil prices was low, there was a lot of uncertainty but there was still some major companies who were interested and a couple of those major companies approached us post the announcement with one particular company very actively pursuing us, so we are pretty confident we have done a good deal here'.
As an 88E shareholder this is exactly the sort of material that excites me. Surely some companies are actively chasing 88E too?

Post 3
Ok so we now know one of the other interested parties in the Armstrong assets was Conoco.
At 1:15:20 Bill Armstrong says 'Make no mistake Conoco wanted my asset and so when I sold it to Oil Search they were not 100% happy with that'.

Have a great weekend all.
