RE: Mr Drake

Meant to read:

"We have discussed the scenario of the issue of a billion shares a few times before. The issue of one billion shares is acceptable for more recently arrived holders.

It releases the upside, which from these levels is plenty. If the issue of shares deals with the near-term problems, then we should be headed for a market cap of £600 million, that is - with a total of TWO billion shares in issue - an SP of 30p (perhaps 40p). If there is no dilution, and debt paid or restructured, with new liquidity introduced via restructuring, then an SP of between 60p - 80p on the cards

The article states that the chinese bid would maintain Afrens listing. So it would seem the £325m will be used to inject cash into the company for a percentage ownership above 51%.

Would be very interesting if say the deal is structured that gives control I.e. 50%+ to the new consortium and we retain the listing with the obvious dilution.

However the company recapitalised and with new bod will be a strong animal and I would expect the sp would rerate to the c50p mark.

Just strange that the article which is full of holes states the listing would be retained, sounds like we are getting an investor buying a controlling share by the issue of new equity and this taking control.

Very interesting day come Monday, the general and seplat may also be watching very closely.
