Good to hear from Skoob, look forward to an update if he feels like it...after what I said about the temp here it peaked at 30 at around 4.30 so not too bad.Yes there is a Lidl not too far away I pop in now and again. As you say have been buying from the wine fair thingy ,Intermarche did a very acceptable Buzet medal winner for around 3.30 Euro which I bought a few cases of. If this and a few other shares I am into shape up I will be drinking Petrus never mind blooming Intermache's finest ! Lagging a bit now isn't she....the last few minues are usually interesting so I am going to watch closesly for the next half hour or so !! Have a good evening !
£3 for a cauli. I am afraid I am the same. Try the Lidl if there is one near you they are a lot cheaper and the quality is good. We do all our shop there and stuff we cannot source we go to the super-u. Lidl have an offer on Cote de Rhone ( 6 botts for less than 12 euros) apologies if you only drink the expensive stuff but if its red it qualifies for me. At the moment and there faire de vin is maybe still on. The corbiere is very good too but all the best wines seem to get snapped up quickly...odd?
Got about 3 acres here and am busy renovating...well renovating when the sun does'nt shine...which is not very often.
Me and Oldgimmer were asking after you a day or two back, glad to see you still about. Are you still in here as big as before or have you scaled back a bit ? Are you still in the desert ? Popping out for a bit now as I have spent far too long on this laptop today....if my wife was here she would be bending my ear right now !! Speak later.
Nice to see a bit of a rise last few days. Cant see this dropping back too far but what do I know? Slow steady climb out of the hole as the new year rolls around (again!!) lol Here's hoping the technique of getting all the bad news out of the way plays well as the good news comes rolling in from now on. GLA
Just a pleasant 23 here so will mow the lawn later on, at least I have a lawn now rather than the brown dust that was there until a week or so ago ! I like your wild flower meadow idea and you are right everything is expensive here . We didn't buy a flipping cauliflower in Intermarche the other day because it was over £3 , my wife returned to the UK and told me they were 89p in Sainsburys. What do I do other than buy shares .....well as you know there is always something and I also have another house up the road with 7 acres , the brilliant plan was to improve it and sell it at a huge profit. It is currently worth 2 thirds of what I paid for it...worse than AVN and that's saying something !! I also drink copious amounts of red wine and whisky !!! Funny isn't it I literally make or lose thousands on here in minutes but I wouldn't pay £3 for a cauliflower !!!
Still hot here been out tackling brambles this morning whilst its a bit cooler. All France seems to be pretty good. Will make the change to cooler times more severe though. Planning to re-landscape then plant wild flower meadow. That is why I am still in here as seed v expensive ha! Like your logic have been doing the same on SXX but think I have eneogh in here and enjoying the rise at last.
Too hot to work now so back under the trees with refreshments. How do you occupy your time other than buying shares?
I've been topping up even at these prices, not a fortune but I have a thing about round numbers so wanted to get a number with enough zeros in it to make calculating what they are worth easy for my limited intellect. Still beautiful weather in SW France, how is it with you ?
I suspect strongly that some are in the know more than others. I recall particularly the slide in SP prior to the release of revised backlog orders. Why it moves without any obvious reason is a mystery and is down to MMs maybe with orders to fill either buying or selling? I don't now the machinations / process eneogh to understand why.
At lease we are going in the right direction and I do believe it will come good. You just need strong nerves.
