Frustration
Fri 09:05
We all feel it
Expectation builds as we await the result of the latest carrot dangled, only to be hit with technical issues that we arent experienced enough or equipped to deal with. This is all new, we are ahead of the curve and as such setbacks are to be expected, its just for once we'd like to be told that the BOD have used the right key and the door has opened.
I have never been invested anywhere with such belief that a project should bear fruit.
We couldnt be in a more oil rich environment if we tried and the current US Administration want to get it out of the ground as much as we do. Everything is there for it to be a success. Location, funding, oversight, sentiment and yet the b*stard wouldnt flow.
If it had, we'd all be sat here surrounded by champagne corks. Instead we are surrounded by scrunched up betting slips. Its demoralising.
That being said, and I've been accused by many of being a troll as ive used this board to vent my frustrations at the turn of events, my patience being exhausted with it all, ive made a decision this morning, which no doubt i'll regret and which my missus will give me the silent treatment for no doubt, but ive decided one last throw of the dice.
Ive put in my final amount of cash on the table, ive doubled-down with the hope that they can get the SP heading north again in the near future, at which point i will be cashing in when in profit.
I dont believe in the dream anymore, i dont buy the patter of the BOD or their glossy presentations. To me this is just a pipedream now but to others, and fair play to you, who arent as jaded then I sincerely hope that your riches are realised.
For me, its now just a waiting game until it reaches my target price and im out.
The emotional attachment to 88E has gone and thats a shame as I believed in this project as much as the next guy.
Lets get the latest survey results in and see where the SP heads on the results. Fingers crossed its positive and this meets my exit price

Thanks for the advanced notice Didley, but I'd prefer to wait for Mr Wall to announce it before I start getting excited.

88E on Hold.
Fri 02:46
As a holder since 2016 I'm as disappointed as the rest of you that ice 2 didn't give me the selling price I hoped.
We must now face facts that this SP, apart from a spike with news of the 3D will stagnate till next year.
I just hope the bod's can filter enough good news every now and then to keep people interested in this stock and to stop any further decrease in the SP.

Hello Reaper !
This little hiccup has been a bit of a disappointment , perhaps that`s an understatement (
I can`t add any valued `Oily comment` , but I`ve been reading the BB with interest . It seems to me that a simplistic summary is that our timelines have been somewhat extended .
On the negative side there is clearly some concern about money , SOA rebates and delay , I`m not thinking about further dilution at this price , and I hope DW is as good as his word in this respect .
Let`s have a bit of a farm out !
On the positive side ; the oil hasn`t gone anywhere , the short term traders have , we`ve a huge potential acreage , we must have learned something from IW2 , 3D announcement soon , and at least 4 probable target opportunities .
I`m resigned to what might be another c.6/12 month wait , but still reasonably confident that it will be worth it in the end .
Strangely the best thing to come out of all this is perhaps the current share price . I`m hoping to buy some more stock when I can and stick the certs under the mattress . Fingers crossed that we might get a very nice surprise next year .
Good luck to you , and all LTH`s .

Here, here, Reaper,
We have 3 conventionals slated for Q1 next year, and too early to tell yet whether we will go for Icewine2H next summer.
If all 3 of the conventionals are a success there will be plenty of money, but too little time for another attack on the HRZ (though we might hand that over to an experienced fracking outfit that understands the data acquired from Icewine2V).
DW is probably talking with more than one potential "joint venturer" at the moment about there 4 ongoing projects, to decide on the order of priority - and then we have Yukon Gold on the back burner, probably waiting for Trump to sanction the exploitation of ANWR.
There were quite a few acusations that 88E were hybernating after the shut-in last September - but now we know different ! The thing is, there will be no such accusations this winter, far too much going on, especially from Q4.
We are just entering Q3, and so the draft 3D analysis is probably on the desks of the BoDs already. Long term prospects are as good as ever, in the short term, this is the lull before the storm. I recon this heat wave will be followed by some serious changes in the weather.

Wow, sp is a shocker. Thanks mikemike for doing the Q&A . Tough job and full respect to you bud. Gonna take a bit to justify DW's worth in this climate. Good luck all.

my "vision" is that the frac is shaped like a piece of pie, with a slice taken out in the protected "shadow" of icewine1. However, the slice/shadow may be so thin as to have had no material effect.

Good question Major I was having the same thoughts last year. Presumably IW1 is filled with concrete and will have no effect but it is still very close.

Looking at the potential questions to DW and, obviously ignoring the strange ones, I have put my personal view up to BUY. Whilst the answers will be of great interest the questions themselves have prompted a few thoughts on my part. Only my view of course but I see more potential than when I first looked at this investment.

Is this not typical of the USA legal system. The lawyers will take more money out of this than SOA.
By the time it ends the governor will be out of office and retired to Florida - and the oil companies will be offered 50c on the dollar.

Q: Did the proximity of Icewine1 affect the quality of the data collected or the flow rate achieved?
