Quote: 'Tony Blair praises fellow moderniser King Abdullah'. Takes one slimebag to know another. If the new king has 'Al's disease' I wonder if he'll forget to give that poor sod the rest of the 950 lashes he's due - he's apparently in a very bad way after the first 50. Sentenced to 10 years jail and 1000 lashes with a leather whip just for starting a website to discuss political and social affairs. That 's the country Western politicians and our royals bow down to while mouthing off about democracy - anywhere except Saudi Arabia of course! What disgusting hypocrites.

King has alzheimer's. Potential problems via Bahrain and Iran. Oil could rise. War in the region is a possibility.

Russia has cut off gas supply through Ukraine and isolated 6 European countries. Natural gas prices rocket. Switzerland has decoupled from the Euro and shocked the financial world, gold is up again. UK in deflation and so is Spain. Can Europe keep the sanctions against Russia. Will Putin enforce the Minstrel ship default against France?

Agree with that post on 30Dec limited - just seen it! Been busy doing nothing much in Asia just enjoying retirement and the single life. I wonder what happened to Ukraine's gold? (cough cough) I guess the Fed very kindly offered to look after it for them. I feel confident about ZOL - the last big deal involved a value of 100p on the shares and nothing has happened since to lead one to expect a bad future for the company so I've been gradually building up my holding. The people behind the company will not want to be seen shafting the PIs - it would put a damper on the son's first venture - our holdings are miniscule anyway compared to the big players and they have deep pockets and excellent connections that should lead to even better deals in the future, especially with the collapse in the oil price. Fingers crossed anyway.

Hello nikita

It's been a while, nice to see your post.
Not sure what the float is lately, it's not much.
I've been monitoring Alistair Stobie 's twitter and it's livened up recently. Since someone is willing to take over another's allocated shares, is a positive signal. We look to be in a good position, for further acquisitions of struggling companies under financial duress.

free float size?

Happy New Year All,
It's been a while. With this mornings' RNS about Mr David Davidovich acquiring beneficial interest in 4.48% of Zoltav and cursory web search showing that he is close to Mr Abramovich I'm wondering what the latest free float is? Looking at FT it says 8.27 million shares of a total 141.96. If that includes Mr D's (6 million plus) company's shares, then the real free float is <2 million shares - a very small %. Not sure what that means for small PI's.
Your comments are naturally welcome.
All the best, old girl.
