Wish I could see some positives in this but I can't, AB is here for someone's benefit and I'm sure it's not ours, I've spoke to AB a few times and he doesn't to me seem to care.
Hope he proves me wrong

Pilot Plant and Proposals
15 Apr '15
I must admit, not too pleased regarding the proposal of removing the par or nominal value of a penny, so that funds may be raised in the future. Fair enough, AB is obviously preparing for a drop below the penny once this suspension is lifted, in the short term, but as stated in the accounts, we still have £950k left, with a current burn rate of £40k per month. in theory then, under a care and maintenance program, we could coast along as we are for another two years almost, before we would require further funds. What we need to know therefore, is how much it will cost to fund the pilot processing, before we perhaps decide to just vote "yes" on the Company removing the nominal value barrier and then consolidating our shares (whatever the intended ratio). More information from AB is absolutely necessary I feel.

Should the pilot scheme be capable of being funded relatively cheaply from our existing cash reserves, then I'd rather we see this through first, with actual recovery rates in black and white, together with costings going forward as a result of the tests undertaken, before we agree to, in effect, making it all too easy for AB to raise funds at a ridiculously low sp, lower than a penny in real terms, which I believe would be hard to bear for most shareholders, particularly long-term holders.

Agreeing to the proposals may make it a smoother ride for AB, and it definitely is a short-term solution, but it will see us drift further away from our own averages, no matter what they are. We need to know, does he have to raise money now, considering we have a healthy bank balance and no debt? Why the proposals before any form of production/testing has occurred and yielded results? How much will be needed anyway?

At present, the nominal value of a penny represents a safety net for our investment, as we know funds cannot be raised below such value. Perhaps then, AB could and should turn his focus towards finding a better way of raising further funds (maybe after pilot testing has yielded the suggested uplifting recovery rates as real evidence), which will allow us to retain our nominal value and thus dispense with what would likely be dilution on a largish scale, depending on the amounts of cash he deems are needed as we progress on our way.

Only my thoughts, but I think we've suffered enough, and while AB has done an excellent job on the accounts, maybe he can think about other alternatives to avoid additional turmoil for shareholders. I know agreeing to the proposals will be a short-term fix, as I've mentioned, but where my concern lies really, is in potential longer-term damage to the recoverable value from our holdings, due to the resultant dilutive effect of agreeing to the current proposals.

Naturally, what I've just said, doesn't and cannot take into account any additional news which may come, particularly news of a good nature, which may then put things into a different light.

Best wishes all.

Frey it seems the whole aim market is the same. None of them are there for shareholders or getting share value.... Nice salaries, pensions and free share options... Only trouble is what can we do about it now? MA seems to have got off of all of this Scott free and even more so the nomads and auditors. We can only hope that AB can get shareholder value in the future but I'm not holding my breath on any of the aim shares I hold anymore....

MA

For what its worth, I came to think about half-way through that Masoud had the mentality of a Persian shopkeeper. Having followed his schemes from the beginning, and their then seeming profitabilty, I eventually exited some time ago (breathing a sigh of relief) at 5p and posted that I didn't expect to see that price again. The Kabwe tailings project looked attractive at the beginning and, naturally, we all had no reason to believe the the feasibility studies weren't worth the paper written on. (The then Nomad bears a heavy responsibility for lack of due diligence), but as time went on, and timetables started slipping, I urged MA to both appoint a CEO, and a properly qualified project manager for Kabwe. When he did neither, I was slow to question whether the copper tailings might be an illusion, backed up as they were by a PEA on similar tailings in the same location by a reputable mining consultancy. What really opened my eyes to incompetence was the excessively stupid and enormous share dilution brought about by the massive share issue - itself backed up by 'presentations' that put no numbers on the assets being paid for. With proper numbers, there would have been no need for that scale of dilution - but the presentation was aimed at (and swallowed by) the unsophisticated clients of a certain broker. A similar scenario could happen again, given the low quality of some brokers still on AIM

Astonishing really...

... that given the content of yesterdays RNS and the extent of MA's deception and shenanigans that have come to light that there are still some on here desperate to throw some mud at the likes of LJC in the feeble hope that some sticks.

These people must be seriously disturbed, worrying really!!!!

Update

It seems to me that it would benefit our cause regarding the SP after the company resumes trading if AB delivered an upbeat RNS prior to the event .
I am sure that estimates of resources , costs of processing and expected levels of profitability with time frames etc , etc could help underpin the SP at a reasonable level on the first day of trading .
If nothing is issued then the SP is bound to take a right hammering on day one and no doubt give some in the know the chance to fill their boots up here on the cheap.
now that the mess Ma has left us in has been cleaned up . Not too long before we will find out if the new broom is sweeping up on our behalf or not.
