I was afraid of the share price falling not rising. I can't see traffic volumes in Sierra Leone recovering quickly enough to justify a significant re rate. I also reasoned that if a PF was about to land a big deal the company would have waited until after that before arranging a significant amount of finance.
My decision was not based on emotion but careful study of the impact of Darwin's convertible loan notes on the share price of other companies. I felt the risk of having a large background seller was too great while sentiment for WSG stock is low. I have sold out of other stocks after Darwin were issued loan notes and have not regretted my decision as the companies' share prices have invariably taken a big hit.
Darwin often start converting a portion of the loan notes issued in around 4 to 8 weeks after the initial announcement so the forward selling could start sooner than you think, so not sure why it will be a while before you have to worry about Darwin.
Yep, had more than enough of it with AFC/Lanstead deal chat but it seems more virulent here. I thought it may be the timeline but it's just people being people again. Looking like 2 out of 4 so far this year for me when this kicks in, about bloody time.
Classic talking it down as he's afraid this will rise on the near term ferry/flight news. I mentioned it yesterday, and garyn again today, that it will be awhile before we need to worry about darwin. If WSG have not improved revenue in the next 10 months then that is the time to bail.
You're out, and having aired your views incessantly from that point and been "goaded" to post another "saviour" post are here again. Why on earth would you be following the bb when you have made it perfectly clear that for you this is basically toxic? Emotional involvement? Regrets? Or simply just your take? We all have our opinions but don't repeat them over and over and over and over and over and over and before you know it you have a F&F franchise, let us demented idiots get on with it alone please. You can't be goaded if you walk away.
Well that's what "sampling" the elderflower wine from last years making will get you...... embarassment and a proper roasting, besides the rambling piffle I posted which I have to contend with 2 bottles was more than enough to stunt any braggardly performance figures, I apologise SINcerely to any female members of the bb, but I agree LInton it can be more entertaining than discussing football, perhaps that's why no objections?
For once Steve I kind of agree with you. Personally I think that in the absence of a CEO blog that Ian, sufficiently incentivised by his options, should spend an hour one evening filling in to briefly explain why they have chosen this path of CSLNs and what it will likely mean for shareholders given a few different scenarios.
Although I am as disappointed as a lot on here I see it as a positive that we now have heard 2 interviews with Ian (doc and Bmr )along with snippets of personnel convos that try and explain reasoning behind latest deal, I trust he is trying to reassure us and keep us onside as news can't be far off , i hope we are that bottom now
Selby no's the markets were not impressed by the recent rns regarding raising more money and has tried with this media report to reassure investors, needs to generate money then we wouldn't need to keep raising money,
Until yesterday morning I had been a WSG shareholder but decided to sell out as I thought the risk to my capital was too great after the Darwin RNS landed. I have seen time after time what the Darwin convertible loan notes can do to a company's share price over a period of time. If you are not aware of how they work you can read about it here http://uk.advfn.com/cmn/fbb/thread.php3?id=33458066.
I was understandably upset about yesterday's RNS and I was entitled to air my opinion on this forum as most people would like to hear both sides of the coin rather than just listen to endless ramping and the pretence that everything is rosy with the company when it is clearly not.
I was going to leave it that as I certainly meant no malice to other shareholders but as SFU observed I only posted again because I was goaded by the likes of you and Benie.
