A takeover by Norlisk is something that I professed years ago since I first invested here. Robin Young will continue to put forward that AMC is an explorer who is looking for a production licence to become a producer. The benefits of this are that technically AMC could become a producer following receipt of licence but realistically it is never going to happen, AMC is being lined up to be put in the best possible position to be sold to the highest bidder.
AMC is a minnow of minnows. It is staffed perfectly for it's current operations, but literally has no management team, directors and zero staff that would be required to turn this into a lean mean producing machine. It could happen, but it would take years and an unimaginable investment.
Whereas if AMC were to go into a JV or get taken over by Norlisk, who have the structure, experience, ecomonics and connections in place, then this project would go into production immediately and would be a lean mean money making machine.
In my view RY is not a guy who wants to be CEO of a production company as it is simply not his area of work and he has no experience of same. AMC will be sold. RY is doing a perfect job at the minute lining everything up that can support AMC in looking as if it can be a viable option, including possible funding and operation plans, the longer he can pull off that act the better as it will take a lot more bargaining power and a higher price to persuade him to sell the company rather than turn it into a producer. He is playing this game very well in my opinion, and long may it continue, because at the end of the day what's good for him here is what is good for me and I trust him implicitly!
Not sure the licence protects against a low ball takeover. We will have to negotiate hard as we are a small fish with little money but the resource is so big someone will want it as its going to make a biggie some real big profit. The last resource upgrade gave amounts that Western super majors would be interested In & that was Mr Young 's own words.
I'm looking at it from a point of view that assets are already proved in areas, they could take out AMC at a low cost after the licence, or would the licence restrict this and bring protection at a higher buy out price. This whilst taking out a competitor in the process.
It has to be a strong buy from me at present, with a steady rise and new data along with licence news perhaps latest of jan within the 6 month licence as stated previously in an RNS.
