From what I see we are trying to account for the proposed cost structure but must consider Mr Kews company vehicle http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C590187 :-)

We are, because I don't understand the point you are trying to make. I stated I was mistaken with my earlier opinion and that I now agree with you, and now you're telling me I'm digging myself in.

Let's leave it here, and pick it up at the AGM.

Nice to see I am not the only one that checks Canadian prices. The larger increase is because the TSX price was at a one year low yesterday, had a bit of catching up to do to day. If only London would move 40% on 7000 buys!

We haven't seen the share rise to a 3 month high like this since 2012. I will remain suitably sceptical until we have seen a few weeks of rises.

Any chance this could be the decommissioning costs, which they may finally have a handle on by now. Thought they had to put up funds to cover or guarantee quite early on.

Depends what they do, and the timing of the pesky DECC FDP approval. For sure they will want to get the major components out there and set in the mid year weather window. What's not quite so clear, or maybe it is now, is what they intend to do about the previous producing wells and whether they could be brought back in quickly. Originally as I recall they wanted to produce from the last one, but noticed a possibility now it might be either shut in, or used as a water injection well. Wonder if they are worried about status of the well after such a long time it will be since the EWT. There's also a comment about a revised drilling and completion strategy, including the removal of all subsea wells. Presume that's all the old wells. How or what are they going to use and when to achieve that.

that I am... this warm fuzzy feeling is great & justified by todays Rasr...BUT ...please do not relent on the bod having more Options. The sceptic skeptic that I am just wonders why this was so late ... sorry but enough is enough, we do pay them quite well...

No we are not talking at cross purposes at all, the FULL field development costs were $3.5 billion (FPD + SFD costs) end of story.

i think we are talking at cross purposes.

The RAR lists several items as capex expenditure for FPD. Notably MOPU,FSO, Well costs, Fluid Tansfer and Mooring and Gas Import Facilities.

There is no reference to what the capex is being spent on for the SPD. Only a year by year breakdown of costs.
