Not pretty reading I admit but he is from an organisation lobbying parliament on behalf of the mining companies. I don't think it's in their interests to say everything in the garden is rosy even though there are obvious problems in the industry at the moment. No doubt intended as a kick up the government's derriere to take steps to ensure future investment in the industry is encouraged and not scared off.
Morning leas, morning all. Yes, seeing IQE drop by 6 or 7p on Friday was a bit of a sobering experience I must admit. All down to fear about possible future competition based upon minimal actual facts so I topped up. POG is a nightmare share and the biggest blot on my investment cv to date. It defies all known laws of the universe. You have to think that one day it will start moving upward again. I looked at IMM a while back. It certainly has a lot of potential if their Lupus treatment gets approved. Am surprised the share price is as low as it is as trials are so far advanced. You do need a lot of patience when you invest in biotech but the rewards can be worth the wait and added risk involved.
Noticed IQE today and recent discussion. Cannot believe they have gone sub 30 again. Looking oversold on the news. They are a well managed company with plenty of R&D that should leave the competition behind.
Also watching POG that is hovering at £3, looks like it may come under pressure from shorters.
Bought 2 tranches of shares in IMM which looks promising but know very little about Biotechs. They have interesting and exciting things in the pipeline.
I think the drop yesterday was more to do with negativity across the market as a whole. As you say, it's encouraging that the price is holding up as it is even in the absence of any news. Took a bit of a hit with IQE today but wasn't planning to sell any more in this tax year anyway (actually I took the opportunity to top up with some more). Have a good weekend leas, everyone.
As you say, the volume has not been massive. Perhaps there is something happening we don't know about or maybe the market is just applying a more realistic valuation after the crazy times we have just gone through. Either way, so long as i'm seeing blue and not red I'll not be complaining either.
