Let's remember there is plenty of us here in Scotland that voted for Conservatives that will be delighted with result. The SNP result is more a show of how poor the opposition is, they do a decent job of running the country but the majority here still do not want a broken up UK. The resurgence of the SNP has kept the Conservatives in. Job done.
I read that brother David wasn't too happy over in the US and I wonder if there will be pressure inside the Party from those who wanted him the leader to return ? In a TV interview sometime last year or maybe even 18 months ago he didn't rule out returning.
Seems ironic to me that it was the trade unions that put Ed in and they've shot themselves in the foot. He just doesn't have the gravitas we like to see in leaders.
I listened to the events unfolding (not good to sit in front of the tv for hours) until 5.00am and fell asleep..Lol. back up..obviously...and will now tune in agains. It was quite riveting listening to the big names taking a fall. Even Nick Clegg just got a 2000 approx. majority. We live in interesting times.
