Domestically - For the sake of Lloyds, hope existing retain power, worried about balance of power in snp hands
Europe - Greeks will push it to the wire but will have to concede in the end (hopefully)
Worldwide - Agreed
World Peace - No chance ever, there is always going to be trouble in the middle east, they seem to like destroying their countries and we send aid to re build only for them to knock it down again.

By God it's slow on here today - GLA

Ok, I'll stick my neck out - I'm an optimist and I have faith in my fellow man,

Domestically - over the next 5 years I think the conservatives may win outright by a narrow margin, failing that, the current alliance will continue, with the election out of the way the UK economy will go from strength to strength, the roof will be fixed and UK inc. will use that strength to exploit opportunity further afield,

Europe - The Greek situation will be resolved and the EU will recover though some what slower,

Worldwide - some emerging markets may suffer set backs, China will manage their slowdown, America won't like being overtaken as the largest economy

World peace - Isis is the last death throws of a bunch of extremists and will soon be seen as such by all concerned, Russia will rumble on for decades, least till they grow up and decide to stop trying to fight the world,

Might I tempt you guys to post your views?

At the 2014 AGM there was a - 'Resolution 28 Related Party and Class 1 Transaction' which stated that -
On the terms of the Resale Rights Agreement the Company may be required by HM Treasury to provide assistance in connection with any HMT Sale.

See pdf page 15

I'm not seeing any such resolution on the 2015 agenda
http://www.lloydsbankinggroup.com/globalassets/documents/investors/2015/2015_lbg_agm_notice_of_meeting.pdf

I wonder if all/any work was done during 2014 or maybe any such sale is now off the table?

When trading more than the exchange market size in a security through a quote driven trading system, the mechanism changes. For most trades, the broker will contract a market maker (or market makers) in order to ask for a quote that is good for the larger quantity. If the quantity is only a little more than the normal market size, the price may not change, but market makers are likely to offer worse prices as the deal size gets bigger.

Time for bed!

"NMS for each security is calculated quarterly and is based on 2.5 percent of the security's average daily turnover in the preceding year. However, market makers are usually prepared to quote firm prices for volumes larger than the NMS."
Out of interest , most if not all footsie 100 companies trade on SETS , the automated system . Market makers are not involved. ATB
