Yep excellent poster,over the last couple of years seen other posters very open with advice and been on the receiving end myself,I'm sure it's not as complicated as it seems if you look into it,but I believe for me and many other retail traders the straight forward long or short is hard enough.

Rocky I know your one of the honest traders who post on here as you know there's no point in talking rubbish we all make mistakes and do bad trades the secret is to admitt it and try not to repeat .
Bocas style of trading is not as complex as it sometimes sounds but you need the direct access broker and a bit of advice as to how it all works .
Hes a good chap to talk to very knowledgeable about his stuf with no pretentious about him .

in fact I shorted sp500 this afternoon before this big US sell off,i posted that trade at the time.

done very well recently,like you im not a retrospective trader and lots of the trades i have posted on another board I post on which is a general trading board,in fact my dow trades subsidise my other trades to a certain extent whilst im still learning,been five years now and still learn tons every week,biggest problem for me is I have to make the same mistake 2 or 3 times before it sinks in,hence holding the lloy short during report.i just have to trade so had a few months dabble with gold,but couldn't get to grips with it,f430 posts his gold trades on the same board and he,s got a method that works often.i was interested to read the posts between you and boca far too deep and complicated for me,all about finding what suits your phyce.

Cheers for that rocky I do trade the Dow just not put any on recently , how's your Dow trades been treating you .

I know you have your own way,but if you get fed up waiting for the trades you like imo the dow is well worth getting into and not quite so spx,they react very much to TA and plenty of but not unmanageble volatility,its how I pass my time and do better on these than any other thing,plenty of opportunities to go long and short on 4h through out the day.

Good to hear things working well for you , again its been a no trade day for me I'm not a prolific trader like yourself I look for larger moves or high value trades with small moves if and when they present .

also... yesterday sold the call side of what will end up a strangle on the SPY... Theta trade.

as for as i see 283 is good price and if worse come 277 is buy price for lucky

Been a great day so far... option working well, was short nasdaq long s&p's earlier for a nice pairs trade, worked out really well... good to have some movement back... volatility still relatively low though, but getting better.
