Cheers bud,I'll never get rich by them but not complaining on today's. Sitting on all my aim and recovery stuff in the sipp and hardly trading as busy at work and with rels staying from oz hardly time for anything!! I picked up a few BRCI last week which looks like a lazy way into the big miners that have been hammered recently and yields a decent wedge too, otherwise just holding everything except I bottled on the main account stobart adding more balfours and icap last week but I feel a bit out of the loop if I'm honest as haven't watched or traded much. Just hope something tucked away will make a decent move as aim used to when I first got into it! Working in a pub sounds like a good idea bud...
yielders mate. All gloom and doom in aim at the minute .Surely there must be a renaissance soon. Not been trading much becsuse the masrkets are dead really ...bring back the good old days in aim.Bought 200K cyan as they are at recent low on lack of news flow.Still waiting for contract news.Frustrating as hell...I need to get a job somewhere take my mind off it...Working in a pub would be ideal...
Hope everyone okay? Been tied up with work and after a quick look at mwana, vog etc decided not to bother looking too closely for now. Just advised my broker not to bother with the ascent resources open offer and option on convertible notes etc as couldn't understand beyond my gut reaction that it'd be sending good money after bad(if you see it differently can you let me know by Monday please!!!). Have a good weekend all.
Well it's certainly a bloodbath for miners at the moment but inevitable the big ones will bounce first. I always gauge that sector by BLT and if less than 20 its interesting and around 16/17 its time to raid the savings and get stuck in. Took a longterm view on the POG as they didn't bounce lol!! Cheers for the info there lodan,I just bought as they looked cheap(again the lure of the falling knife...!). As far as range goes Roger I have no idea as have been preoccupied with the new dog, work and the imminent arrival of a hoard of Aussie 'rels' so just tinkering here and there when I get time. I'm more irritated by the angels than most as I averaged down before they went pop but I guess there's others that have (sort of but never quite..) evened things out! Bottom one is we do this for fun,chance,investment,yield,hope.....lots of reasons and we keep coming back!!! Without wanting to sound smug I am doing okay with the boring divvy stuff but that's no walk in the park either and I too am yet to worry or even consider cgt!!
Same here mate, need to stop it with these falling knives....got 155 and 142 myself......hold them tight for a year and you should hopefully be very happy....big debt....1.1bil, but got 400k oz hedged at $1650 I think off the top of my head......also had a few more CEY at 37, been selling a lot of my non mining shares today and will be drip feeding money into all these miners to give me some good long term averages, holding some too high already but a week or so of strategic averaging down (lol) and I should be set for when they all hopefully move back up......risky going all over to miners but as the prices get lower and lower I just can't help myself.
Hiya mate, re NVTA I havnt even got the heart to fight it, gave it up long ago as a CG loss. CG that's a laugh though!! What do you think of the suspension on range? I have been greedy there and don't know if I could cope with that going down the pan as well as ANGM, OCH,NVTA,NRRP? god what a mess my pf is! I always used to laugh at you James and your divvis! Hindsight is a great thing. I think RRL will be ok as, I have such great experience on firms going belly up they normally state in the RNS that they will suspend trading awaiting an announcement. Range said "awaiting a significant transaction." By transaction I hope they mean the oxford dictionary interpretation as "conduct a business transaction". Buy or sell, as long as its beneficial to sh's. ho hum!!
