MeerKat: You are righti, need to tweek the calculation. Good job, guys here are better than me and watchful. Can't wait to win that Euromillion to throw a mega party , you will be a special invitee! GL
I wouldn't be surprised if the dividend announcement came sooner rather than later. There's no earthly reason why Lloyds cant resume modest dividends as of now. And there's a General Election in May. Resumption of divis before then would boost the share price and give a nice feel good boost to the vital pensioner and other better off PIs who are tempted by UKIP and have hung on to these shares over the hears in the hope of better times to come.
If someone would take a bet whether the Dividend will come first or the Chilcot report first, I would bet my 5p on the Lloy Div.
Re:Movingonup: The market being so volatile I would expect it to swing more up and down particularly with FTSE and Dow all the way till 26th Feb. If I were you I would buy at lows say 74.5 -74.75 and stay put till after results. Would be interested to know what more learned people here think What ever you do I think you can't go much wrong DYOR GL GLA

I have approx 13000 shares which I bought via staff sharesave scheme years ago. I was thinking of buying £5k worth more and I can afford to leave the shares for at least 2 years.
I am thinking that the reintroduction of the dividend albeit low to start with, along with Streamlining of the business and focusing on UK markets and large mortgage portfolio, should see an improvement in this share.
There you go again - mentioning Russia. Did you know I had a Russian girlfriend also? Spooky. She tells me her relatives have been withdrawing their hard earned (tongue in cheek) cash from Greece for over a year now and dumped it in the safe haven that is Cyprus. Those who want to invest rather than save have invested in Ireland and London. Greece is a ticking time bomb. Germany is preparing to invade!!!
